Super 8 by Wyndham Durango

Friendly staff, decent breakfast, spacious room, clean facilities.

We found the bed hard and uncomfortable

We did a last minute reservation on a return trip from AZ and were just looking for a spot to lay our heads. Super 8 had decent reviews and an economical rate. I was initially a little skeptical when I felt the entrance sort of looked like a loading dock (no frills), but as soon as we walked inside we were greeted by a helpful desk attendant with a bright disposition. The room was very clean, spacious (we had one king) and better decorated than most budget hotels. The bed was alright (not great but not bad). My suggestion would be to ask for a room away from the road, as road noise was really the only negative. In the morning there were two bright and cheerful desk attendants, and the breakfast was SO MUCH BETTER than any budget hotel I have ever stayed in. The breakfast attendant was pleasant and helpful... the food really was superior with a far greater selection than I would have imagined (besides eggs and sausage, there was cereal, bagels, English muffins, fresh fruit, a pancake maker, muffins, coffee with multiple creamer types, juice - really good juice and no motels have good juice. What I really liked was hot oatmeal with a great selection of add ins... and almond milk!) My wife and I own an inn in Crawford CO (Stone House Inn), so we have high standards and this place really exceeded expectations!

Staff very kind and breakfast was hot with good variety. Everything fresh and clean. Bed comfy!

I locked myself out of first room and couldn't get back inside. I did quickly get a different room and belongings I had left were promptly returned next morning!

It was a great day. The breakfast was fabulous.

Staff was incredibly friendly and seemed to really care about the place. Breakfast was great and rooms were clean.

The rooms were clean and workers are nice and welcoming
