That I had only booked one night

Had paid for additional breakfast. Went down to the restaurant and stood at the sign “wait to be seated” - ten minutes went by and no one came. Took out luggage to the car and came back for breakfast, waited at sign again with no acknowledgment from staff so we attempted to seat ourselves. Every table filled with dirty plates, so we took it upon ourselves to clear a table. At this point I was already ready to go somewhere else, so at the point of not being able to get anyone’s attention for cutlery we gave up and left. Then had to proceed to walk around the hotel to gets someone’s attention for main reception to try and make a complaint, but they didn’t care and didn’t offer me a refund for the breakfast we didn’t have. Probably wouldn’t come here again unless desperate. Understaffed, rude and not very helpful.

The room smelt a little musty and no air con.

The pool was nice, the bed was soft and comfy but not wanted all the time. The bar is very nice but the food is a little expensive.

The breakfast was alright but woefully under staffed. Tables uncleaned, not enough seating for guests. The food kept running out as the 3 staff couldn't keep up.

I wasn’t informed there was a waters aerobics class in the morning when I needed to swim!! So ensure you ask when the pool is available

There wasn’t much to like about the hotel at all!

I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel and unfortunately would not recommend it. From the moment we arrived, things were disorganised and frustrating. We were left waiting around four hours just to get bed sheets, and even then we were given a duvet cover that had visible red stains on it, despite being told it had been washed. This made the room feel unhygienic and uncomfortable. The room itself was poorly maintained. There were spiders and webs present, and staff had used a lot of spider spray, which caused issues for me as I have bad asthma. The room was also extremely hot, with no air conditioning, a weak fan that barely worked, and a broken shower. Some rooms appeared to have newer TVs, but ours was very old and outdated. Basic standards were missing. There were red stains on the carpet, and overall cleanliness felt poor, which made the stay unpleasant. Service was also a major issue. Reception was understaffed, so everything took a very long time to sort out. Staff seemed overwhelmed and unhelpful. The swimming staff were rude and dismissive, and the information online was misleading. The website stated “unlimited swimming access,” but in reality it was limited to 45-minute sessions and only bookable twice a day, which is not unlimited at all. Breakfast was chaotic every morning. There was hardly any food or drinks available, long waits for cutlery, and no clean tables. Staff seemed unorganised, and even something as simple as getting a coffee was difficult. The facilities also did not match what was advertised. A waterfall shown in the photos was not working at all during our stay. Overall, the hotel felt poorly managed, unclean, and not as advertised. Between the maintenance issues, misleading information, lack of basic hospitality, and rude staff, I would not choose to stay here again.

The location right next to the hospital, the quality of the bed , the cleanliness and the pool , and steam room were lovely

The staff were miserable in all encounters. The sauna was primitive, badly needs upgrading. The food service at breakfast was poor, everything was out and the bacon was a giant lump of pig which had not been separated. The tables were nearly all cluttered with plates and cutlery, too. Staff in the restaurant were unfriendly and unhelpful. In the bar, We bought 2 glasses of wine which cost £18.20. Absolute jokers. The decor was older than time and the missing link at poolside reception was rude. We would rather spend an evening dining with the Goering’s than return there.

Location, not very clean, understaff , shower broken , no air conditioning, breakfast was hectic, no plates, cutlery or glasses . Information was misled like not unlimited swimming, waterfall not working and staff was very rude.
