"Adequate for short business stays"

6.0

The hotel is clean and very reasonably priced. The food in the hotel restaurant is also surprisingly good given the €12 for three course price tag. The breakfast buffet was also of a similar standard. The shower was surprisingly powerful with plenty of hot water. If you're a business traveller, this hotel will meet most of your needs with free wifi included. On the downside the bed isn't particularly comfortable (very hard), and the AC made no impact on the temperature of the room. In April, this was no big issue, but I would not be comfortable having a summer stay here.

"Not one good nights sleep"

4.0

I was there for work so didnt need much, the room was stiflingly hot, aircon didnt seem to do any good, i would leave the window open they would close it, very clean but the bed was rock hard, satelite tv varied but not up to much, breakfasts were good but only tried the restaurant once, i prefered the greasy spoon round the corner which isnt like me. I slept badly all week, and having an early flight Sat i was in bed very early when a 100 korean yoofs turned up, cue 3 hours of bedlam, the staff were apologetic, but couldnt seem to do anything, all in all i wont be back.

"Good Hotel, Excellent Staff"

10.0

We were in the area on business and chose the Hotel Bartos for the convenient location. It turned out to be a great find. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and we very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the breakfast and evening meals which were excellent value. However the real asset of the hotel is its staff and they were all extremely friendly and helpful. Special mentions to Genoveva, Tamara and Salvador at Reception and David, Chus and Agustin in the Dining Room.

"nice hotel"

8.0

We stayed there for a week arriving 10th August.Wi Fi worked in reception so was no problem. We found the meals in the restaurant excellent, and ate there every night. A glass of wine, beer or soft drink, 3 courses and coffee for 12 euros, we thought excellent value, and all our meals were hot and tasty, and the breakfast was also good. A lovely pool on the roof, but could do with an extra few loungers. The t.v. had 3 channels in English which was enough as we do'nt go on holiday to watch t.v. The rooms were a good size and spotlessly clean, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. If we go back to this area we would stay at the Bartos again

"The choice is yours!"

If you do not care if WiFi works. If you do not want English TV programs. If you like your restaurant meal delivered to your table stone cold. This could be the place for you? We will not be coming back!

"Good hotel; Eat elsewhere"

8.0

The Bartos Hotel is a fine modern building but in a bit of a backwater of the town. Plenty of parking (on a cleared area opposite the hotel). The reception is very friendly (as are all the staff) and check-in was very easy. Disappointed that the magnificent swimming poll on the roof was being shut in the middle of October but the hotel was very quiet with few guests. The rooms are fine (be nice to have a wider range of channels on the TV) and kept clean. It would be nice to have more than a few sachets of shower gel in the bathroom - after all this is classed as a 4-star hotel. The breakfast was not wonderful but satisfactory, again not up to 4 star standard. The dinner menu looked totally unappetising, with a small choice and we chose to eat elsewhere. Overall a friendly hotel and good value for money but the food was not up to the standard expected.

"Good Stopover Driving from Costa del Sol"

6.0

Hotel Bartos is just south of Valencia, handily situated between the A-7 and AP-7 (Toll). It is about 370 miles and 6 hours driving from Torrox Costa (Nerja area, Costa del Sol), so is great for a stop off when driving North. Our sat-nav took us up the (non-toll) A-7, which is dual carriageway most of the way. Keep off the toll AP-7 by taking the A31 at Elche (passing to the left of Alcoy), take a small section of single carriageway N344 to join the A35 /A7 towards Valencia. Come off A-7 at Benifaio and carry on to Almussafes - 5 mins from main road. Next morning sat-nav took us straight onto the toll road AP-7, in a couple of minutes. This Hotel is 'grand' for the area and has a fitness centre, sauna, seasonal outdoor pool and free wi-fi (although you need to be near reception area to use it). Rooms have TV, minibar (with water only) and a safe. Breakfast (cooked!!) is served in the Hotel restaurant and was included in the option offered by Booking.com. At a package price of under 50 Euros for the overnight stay, it is well worth it. There is also a bar with a good drinks selection and offering snacks too. Secure (underground) parking is available at 8 Euros per night - peace of mind if you are taking your wine allowance home with you... We will stay here again next time we drive out.

"Good Hotel"

8.0

Always use this hotel when in Valencia on Business, very comfortable place with a nice restaurant and bar (Food is decent). The hotel now includes Wi-FI facilities (although this didn't seem to reach as far as my room on level 3). Daniel on reception is very helpful and I am always made to feel welcome. The rooms are generally nice although slightly old fashioned and could do with a slight update. My one real criticism would be whilst the rooms are very clean there is always a overwhelming smell of bleach upon entering which could do with toning down as it really gets in your throat, I have noticed it on a number of visits and really should have mentioned it. Over all a good hotel to stop at if in this area.
