The Parkwood Inn & Suites

Location was great, close to everything

Parking was horrible, room had a really bad musty smell. Beds weren’t comfortable at all, tub was nasty. Air conditioner fan was so loud that every time it came on it woke my 82 year old mother and I up.

Lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful, told us a way to get to the music park via Webb St. which was just across from the motel, and therefore bypass downtown traffic. Rate seemed reasonable for a town that gets a lot of visitors during the weekends. The Wi-Fi was consistent and fast. There is no breakfast, however there is a donut shop that is about a five-minute walk from the motel.

There was no cover for the ice bucket in our room. Getting ice out of ice maker using a scoop that was sometimes covered up so that a person had to push ice aside with their hands to get to it didn't seem hygienic, perhaps put a container on top of the ice machine to hold the scoop.

Location

The hotel was old and outdated, but charged like a better hotel experience would be had. Lamp hung crooked on wall and did not work. Plugs by bed were dusty. Sheet had some stains.

This is an older motel. The TV remote wasn’t there so the television had to be manipulated from the back. The room phone was not working so you couldn’t call the front desk. The front desk was responsive and cheerful when she had to come explain how to work the TV and redo the card key.
