SureStay Hotel by Best Western Sarasota Lido Beach

As a Platinum status member with BW, I've stayed in dozens of Best Western Hotels throughout the country. This was BY FAR the worst I've ever experienced. The construction mess, the lack of anything edible for breakfast (the fruit bowl even had a message on it warning patrons to thoroughly wash before eating!), the bathroom sink wouldn't drain, and the manager (Sanil Patel?) could not possibly care less. Suffice it to say, I would never, ever stay here again and will warn folks to stay as far away as possible. Upon checkin (I prepaid for the room to get a better rate) we were assigned room 207, which unfortunately already occupied (I found out when I went to enter the room - the key worked and we shocked the current occupants!). Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from here as possible.

The hotel was acceptable however the roof was being replaced during my stay and I was not informed by staff. I was woken up each morning to the noise with the worst being on Monday morning. I called the front desk as well as sent a message. The front desk did not offer any compensation for the issue. I still have not heard from the message I sent through the hotels.com help link. I ran into another group of people who were staying at the hotel and they were offered $50 for the inconvenience. I have yet to hear anything but the cost of the night was over double that.

We booked this accommodation because we decided to take advantage of the weekend with the holiday to visit the Sarasota region. It was supposed to be a peaceful trip, but the hotel was under construction. At 6:00 am on a Sunday, they started to break the entire roof, the room was shaking all over. We had to leave the hotel, even in our pajamas, because the noise was unbearable. The manager told us that the work had to happen over the weekend for personal reasons, but we were not warned that the hotel was under construction and they did not give us any advance information. We simply woke up before dawn to a loud noise on the second floor, breaking the entire roof. I hope that Booking.com responds to my messages to help me resolve the refund.

The rooms were clean and the staff was amazing to us. Will definitely refer family and friends here.

The toilet is ridiculously low I felt like I was giving birth every time I had to use the toilet, like literally your knees are in your chest

Rooms were so dirty. Comforter on the beds were disgusting, just turned over not cleaned. Roaches were on the drawers in the second room. Not a good experience at all.

I would stay again for sure and staff was great.

This is the filthiest room I have ever seen - I believe it to be hourly for miscreants/you know what am saying, because makes up on sheets, someone’s clothes left behind. If I could have slept standing up I would have. Disgusting sheets, German cockroaches, dirty sheets/blanket… you should feel ashamed posting ‘WONDERFUL’ as your review. You should be fined and removed from your partnership with Expedia Hotels. I left VERY EARLY in them morning every though I had another night. Not disappointed - DISGUSTED 💯
