"Great location"

There were 2 sides to our experience staying at Kilkenny Ormonde. It is a vibrant & extremely busy hotel in the centre of Kilkenny, with friendly & helpful staff. The breakfast is well organised with plenty of choice. It does have a swimming pool attached, but it is part of a well used local leisure centre, so not the more secluded offering for hotel guests only. It is well used and a bit shabby in places. Our room was OK. Quiet with a comfy bed. But the bathroom really needs an upgrade. It had started to get grubby. Although we had plenty of hot water from the sink tap, the shower was cold when we tried to use it. Not 4 star standard. The Manager has offered us 50% off our next stay as compensation, but this may be an issue if others get caught out. Please note we were with 10 other couples, and only 1 other couple had the same experience (20%). We were told it was possible the hotel was low on hot water when we wanted to shower. Who knows? Excellent parking close by at a reduced rate.

"It is great Hotel in a great location with nice staff and I would go back."

The room was clean and tidy. The bed was so comfortable The Breakfast was good and also fresh. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The car park was a good price. The Hotel was so close to town.

There was no bottle of water in my room. There was a bit of a wait Queuing (15 Mins) waiting for breakfast. that was at 10:05 although there is a sign informing you if you come at that time it could be 10 Mins

What a lovely hotel in a great location in beautiful Kilkenny. Friendly staff, great facilities (lovely leisure centre and pool), food second to none and great value for money, booked through Rory’s travel club.
