ibis Brussels Waterloo

The concierge really made our stay. We travelled in a group of 5 so spent more than the normal amount of time in the bar/dining area. Staff was friendly, helpful and had a great sense of humour.

It’s Ibis so you pretty much know what you’re getting. Not amazing rooms that you’re going to snap picture of for family but spacious and comfortable

Room was very comfortable. Shower was excellent. Bed was very good.

Lack of control of air conditioning in rooms. Meal options and prices not displayed so we had our meals elsewhere.

Clean and airconditioning

I booked this room expecting a clean and comfortable stay, especially because a friend was supposed to stay with me. Unfortunately, due to the visible dirt and the overall poor condition of the room, I did not feel comfortable inviting her to stay here. The walls throughout the room were visibly dirty, with many stains, smudges and marks. On one of the walls there were also visible biological stains and a red mark resembling blood, which made the room feel very unhygienic and unpleasant. For a price around EUR 140 , I expected a significantly higher standard of cleanliness and maintenance. I also paid extra for a two-person stay and breakfast for two. Due to the condition and cleanliness of the room, my friend decided not to stay here, so part of the booking remained unused. This made the experience even more disappointing considering the total price paid. The staff was fine, but the overall impression of the room was disappointing from a hygiene and cleanliness perspective. For this price, I would strongly recommend that other guests consider alternative accommodation offering a much cleaner and more comfortable environment.
