Great Hospitality and Service!

Remove this hotel from your website! I have just returned from a week's stay here. The weather was terrible (OK not the hotel's fault) but it really showed up the inadequacies of the place. There is literally nowhere to go if the weather is poor - no bar, entertainment at all and what is classed as a lounge is just a place to walk through. The prices are very high ie London prices and whilst the quality of the food is OK the menu offers a poor choice and is never changed. The hotel is classed as a "4* small and luxury". It is neither and to describe it as minimalist actually means basic. On arrival we were shown into a dingy small stone building some distance away from everyone else. (The whole layout of the place is odd). The first thing that hit us was the smell of the drains; we were told that there was no drinking water so we had to buy bottled water from the hotel at a high cost; my daughter tried to have a shower but the water was cold; the extra bed they put in the room for us was so uncomfortable with springs digging into her and a stained mattress that we asked them to remove it the next day; and the hot tub was situated next to the road with tankers driving past several times a day! We complained to the Manager and were upgraded to a different, better, room but then it rained heavily and we returned from breakfast to find the room flooded. Management then sent a cleaner to mop up the floor and close the shutters outside to leave us sitting in a gloomy room.

Amazing hotel...spectacular water view from high on the cliff side. Very modern buildings interiors with old world charm setting. Staff could not have been more helpful, arranging everything from transit, evening dining in nearby towns, on-site breakfasts and late night cocktails, beach accommodations. Pietra e Mare is a very quiet but elegant resort, well above the fray of the local traffic and beach scene....yet perfectly accessible. Three nights were not enough!

Beautiful hotel with great views of Kalo Livadi beach. The staff, especially Panos, is very gracious, knowledgeable and makes you feel at home. I would recommend this hotel if you want to get away and feel all the comforts of home and true Greek hospitality.

petra is the best !

at first we were concerned about the somewhat isolated location compared to many other spots BUT this turned out to be the best part as we really relaxed and were looked after by the great, friendly staff and looked forward to the restaurant with amazing views each night. Our private terrace overlooked the bay and we had everything we needed. The only negatives we only had working wifi at our room for the 1st day so had to use near reception. Grab supplies from the market at the nearby town so you don't pay over the top on your beers, wines, snacks.

I visited Mykonos with my boyfriend for our first time, and the experience was amazing. We had a lovely welcome at the hotel with fresh lemonate during our check in. The room was amazing, sea view, divided in two floors, with all the facilities that you can need. The staff is friendly and very helpful. All of them has been really kind and ready to help you with whatever you need. They can help with car, scooter and ATV renting. The common area are perfect clean and overall the condition of the room and the structure are perfect. The hotel is less than 3min. walk by the sea. The hotel is 20 min fare from Mykonos town, you can easy reach renting a car, with the bus that stop 50 Mt before the hotel, or with taxi (a bit expensive and you can wait between 5 minutes and 1h) Really near is the Lohan beach Club, not really cheap but very beautiful. I would like to thanks mainly the receptionist of the evening shift, that proposed us for our last night, a room in a new hotel in center of Mykonos town (a sister hotel), and was the perfect conclusion for our Mykonian holiday. I only can say thank you to the Pietra e Mare's Staff that help us to make this holiday unforgettable. Highly recommended.
