The location was great

The room did not have a smoke alarm. I happened to run into staff while they were testing the fire extinguishers and casually asked about the smoke detector in my room. I was given the impression that it was acceptable for the room not to have one. What felt strange was that there was a visible spot where a smoke alarm seemed to have been removed, without any cover or replacement. This was a bit concerning at first. There was mold in the shower, and the shower temperature control handle was loose and kept falling to the hottest setting. The carpet was not very clean and still had remnants from previous guests, and the non-carpeted entryway area felt sticky. Overall, the room appeared surface-level clean, but the air did not feel fresh.

The room key didn't work after a few days of stay and had to renew the card key
