Hotel AKA Boston Common

Size of the room

Getting destination charge $40 per day for WiFi . It is not acceptable in the world. Offering a glass of wine can not be considered as a Happy Hour. I am a global traveler and this is ridiculous.

The reservation was paid through Booking.com. However, I see that my card ending in was additionally charged for the services that were never ordered or provided.

This hotel is spectacular in every way: well-appointed rooms, excellent location, great staff. I LOVED the Eames chair in my room — wish I could have taken it home with me in my luggage. 😀 You can't beat the location, just a block or so from Boston Common, close to a busy transit station, steps from the Massachusetts State House and across the street from the cemetery where Paul Revere, John Hancock and Sam Adams are all buried. (Adams' grave appropriately looks out on a pub next-door to the hotel.) Sherley at the front desk was super helpful and surprised me with an upgrade to a room with the perfect view! (See photo.) If I ever return to Boston, I will most definitely want to stay again at the AKA. Superb!

The location is excellent. It is well maintained and quiet. Our deluxe king room was spacious even with 2 open suitcases.

The rooms need better lighting.

Nous avons payé en avance, et une fois sur place avons été prélevé une seconde fois malgré que l’hôtesse d'accueil nous ai confirmé que tout était bien payé. Une fois que nous avons demandé le remboursement sur second prélèvement, on ne nous a pas tout remboursé. Des frais surprise dont il n'a jamais été question nous sont facturés et nous devons maintenant nous battre pour obtenir justice. Oui l’hôtel est très bien et les gens sont super, mais je n'aime pas la démarche du second prélèvement "par erreur" pour soutirer des frais non annoncés !
