SureStay Hotel by Best Western Phoenix Airport

Friendly, clean, affordable.

The location was so close to the airport. The room was very clean and the mattress was so comfortable.

We liked everything.

There was a shuttle and it was convenient from the airport. It had a free breakfast.

I thought I was booking a hotel not a motel. I am a senior and I was given a room farthest from the main office, which was in a separate building from the accommodations. Even the housekeeping staff didn’t respond to a good morning or good afternoon. The office staff was not friendly or welcoming. One Cleaner named Araceli continue to get in my personal space nearly making me trip when she dropped a cone right in front of where I was walking. She kept getting in my way while I was getting my breakfast food critiquing how I was using the self serve options with her body language, disapproving looks, reaching over me and making dissatisfied noises like clicks and grants On the phone prior to my arrival I was told that I could stow my suitcase before check-in. I was unable to do so and was treated with a distain. One handsome young man with dark brown skin and black hair, whose name is escapes me perhaps it was something that begin with the letter A seemed to lack the decorum and respect of speaking to an elder and to a customer in general. He seemed to have some authority and perhaps was the evening manager. The staff in general not only lacked warmth, but seem to have a bias of not listening and weren’t even friendly At one point the young man corrected me told me that I booked my accommodations using a different platform than what I stated. When I told him no that was incorrect he actually pushed back. I had to tell him I know how my accommodations were booked and I provided some details. While I was staying at the hotel the power went out! I use a CPAP machine to sleep and was unable to do so resulting in fatigue. The room in general was adequate. There was a housekeeping detail I wanted to share that has escaped me. I don’t think I would stay there again
