Grand Hotel Aminta

Loved the location, the cleanliness, the helpfulness of the staff, the views. The complimentary minibus into town and back was brilliant!

Very nice beautiful real 4 star Italian style hotel. The service of the restaurant is top, even better than some Michelin stars restaurants. Food is delicious too.

Gave me a small room without balcony ( the room beside all have balcony), it’s a pity. And be careful of the 7 euros Fanta in the mini bar

Stunning, magical view over the bay of Naples. Hotel with a great vibe and an extremely good restaurant, a few minutes out of old Sorrento up a winding road, with shuttle service every half hour. We were there in the off-season, but the pool and hot tub looked nice. The room had a bathtub, which was really nice. Beautiful view from the room and the balcony over Sorrento. Slept very well, enjoyed many great meals in Sorrento. We had planned to visit Amalfi, Positano, and Revello from there, but the weather wasn’t great so we decided not to. Highly recommend and would stay there again. The view and great food and great service were worth the short shuttle ride from town. We really enjoyed the breakfast with great coffee. We also had an amazing lunch with carbonara and Peroni on tap.

My wife, 16-year old daughter and I stayed two nights at the Grand Aminta last week as part of a longer trip to Italy and LOVED it. A terrific hotel. What we liked: - room and hotel decor was great. It all had some age, but was updated enough. - breakfast was excellent -- wide variety of items. - the bar was open until 1:00 a.m., which is something given that it was low season and not a ton of guests. We appreciated it very much. Excellent service, cool place. - free shuttle to the city center left at the top of every hour (7 a.m. to 10 p.m., or so?) with returns departing from the city center every half hour - terrific views. In the summer, it must be great to use the pool, etc. Some FYIs: they had a mini-bar in room (soft drinks, beer, wine, juice, snacks). The restaurant was also open for dinner, though we didn't dine there. Parking is VERY limited. We got lucky and there was a spot for us. I'd imagine during the busier season, lots of folks are not so lucky. We didn't move the car the time we were there. Just took the shuttle and taxis. FWIW, taxi from the city center was about 30 Euros, not inexpensive for a pretty short trip. If I had to come up with a knock, I'd say that the shower was kinda tight, but that's it!
