Super 8 by Wyndham Ketchikan

The property is in dire need of refurbishment. Breakfast was very poor. Surrounding area is a bit rough although there is a supermarket nearby. Free buses around the area stop just outside. The staff were absolutely fabulous - incredibly helpful.

Old hotel that has not been well maintained

The smell of pot in the rooms. Hearing people yell

Before our trip I made sure to call and question how we get to and from the airport and around town. The advertisement stated free shuttle. First impressions was a run down taxi service that was comped by the hotel. The shuttle around the town is the town sponsored shuttle that runs a loop every 20 mins. You have to ride along at all the stops until you get to where you want to go. Upon entering the motel the elevator looks sketchy. We chose to climb the stairs to the third floor as to avoid getting stuck. In the room that were reserved for 2 of us, there was one towel, one wash rag, and one very small coffee ground disc that barely made one cup of coffee. The shower was dirty and the toilet seat was broken. Breakfast was listed for the hours of 7a-10a. At 7a we had to run downstairs and ask for the door to be opened. At 7a when we went in the counters were covered with crumbs, the trash was not empty from the day before, the orange juice machine still had residue orange juice in the drip pan from the day before. We had to ask twice to have the cereal replenished and once to have bowls restocked. Thats at 7a-715a when they opened! They did assist us well when asked. They comped the taxi ride to and from the airport, and they stored our bags in a locked room after check out time until we had to leave to catch a flight. They were pleasant over all.

The bed was very soft. The room smelled very clean. The room was quiet. There was no AC but there was a fan provided in the room. The soaps had a lovely fresh smell. The bathroom was nice and clean.

This property is terrible. There was no cold water only hot, the toilet was leaking. Refrigerator did not work, no housekeeping, no clean towels, no clean sheets, dirty. No freezer for fish that was advertised. No vending, no soda machine. The smell of weed was horrible. Would NOT recommend this hotel, Reservation was wrong. Could not find i! Had reservation for king bed looking at water, gave us a double with a view of McDonald’s!! Upgrade at no charge…not even close.

Many of the rooms had one thing or another broken, and one room smelled of animal urine. After later speaking to a local resident, I was informed this hotel is where semi-homeless and drug users frequent.

The staff is great! Staff worked hard to make the best of a bad situation. Staff was friendly and courteous. Staff tried hard to help deal with room issues. Moved me to another room when noticed shower was broken.

Facilities in dire need of a make over. Shower broken, rooms smelled Axel grease. Cracks in walls, noticed hole in wall behind door. Faucet fixtures are loose. Windows old and was very hard to open and screens were missing.

I liked looking out the window at the water and watching the boats go by. I liked the location. I didnt like that the room wasnt very clean and it was run down
