Bed was clean w/o bed bugs. Shower was fine. That's about it.

First we were assigned to a room that already had somebody in it. Fortunately for us as well as the party in the room, they had the security bolt fastened, Then we were assigned to a room where the power had been off for a long time. AC was off, and on a hot day, it many hours to reach a reasonably comfortable temp. We thought the refrigerator didn't work, possibly because it had been off and didn't cool down quickly. The only bathroom light ceased working a couple of hours after we arrived. In the morning when I tried to use the hair dryer, (by the light of a floor lamp in the room) it didn't work either, but I knew to reset the gfi plug. When I did, the bathroom light came on ..... never heard of a light being connected to a gfi circuit??? And a roach ran across the floor while we were there, yuk. It was a long string of problems, too bad I can't say a "comedy of errors", it really wasn't funny. Along the way we just accepted the room the way it was as it was the 2nd room we'd been assigned and my confidence of something better was low. I think Super8s are independently owned, but this wasn't extremely cheap, just a bit less than the others. We were compensated 10% for our trouble, wow. The money we saved was totally not worth having one of my worst ever hotel stays.

The customer service was over the top great. We had a few personal issues that were taken care of in such a loving and professional manner. Compassionate and really cared that our stay was enjoyable.

Breakfast was very basic.
