Star of The Lakes

They had a hard time finding my reservation but thankfully the staff was very kind about it. They have me the wrong suite and told me that the one I booked was already taken. But the suite they gave me wasn't bad it was spacious and nice. But when taking a shower the bath filled up. But other than that it was nice because the beds are so comfy!!! So it was worth it!!!

Close to down town and beach and resturants.

Got there 20 minutes early. They told us they didn’t have any rooms available to come back sometime after four then as we are leaving, told us they had a room. Person at front desk could not give me a receipt stood there for five minutes, staring at the screen and wouldn’t ask anybody for help even after I asked her to because I needed a receipt so left without a receipt.

Shower didn’t work. Check in first said they didn’t have a room for me after booking online

Price was right. Looks like they have been slowly upgrading the old motel. Seems they installed a water softener, got better a/c, lush towels and nice and clean.

The soap dispensers in the bathroom were all empty. The coffee maker still had a used K-Cup pod in it.

I thought it was great.

The staff at night carried on all night. The place smelled like they had been smoking swisher sweets and other things in it My keys were deactivated every single day and I paid for a week. They acted as though it was an inconvenience for me to be there. Come to find out this is more or less a hotel for homeless people.icing on the cake there were cockroaches sitting behind the tv having a stare down with me at 10:30 pm 3 nights in.

No HEAT with temp in 50s during the day. Only one person working and she was unfriendly and hard to find. Property looked unmaintained and unkempt. Didn’t stay - checked out almost immediately. Would NOT recommend. When checking into our new hotel, someone in my party commented we’d just came from the bates motel and the clerk said oh you mean star of the lakes.

Top notch, personal. Dedicated customer service. Charming building. Has the feeling of a close knit community, but still standard hotel. Good price. Treated us so well we stayed another night. Just great honestly
