The bed was comfortable

Disliked · Poor maintenance of the room and facilities. It snowed while we were there and property did poorly on ensuring the sidewalks to all entrances were cleared and salted. When mentioned to the receptionist that the sidewalk was still not safe to walk on with a baby by one of the entrances their response was that the have no control of that. Poor customer service for hospitality. They could find a better snow removal company as they also did a poor job of clearing the parking lot. The breakfast included was of poor quality and very little healthy options some days there wasn’t even fruit just sugar and carbs. Not sure if it was the property owner or just the over night staff but they hovered around when we got breakfast and even made comments about how many pancakes we made as my husband was making enough for the family at one time (it was still early so no other guest were in there for breakfast at the time). We don’t require our room to be cleaned every day but it was very disappointing when we did want it cleaned it either never got done or we would come back after being gone most of the day for the room to still not be cleaned and had to go to reception twice to ask for it to be cleaned before we could out our baby down do a nap. The WiFi at the hotel was terrible! We had to connect to the WiFi at the hotel across the street as the WiFi at Wingate was so poor in our room we couldn’t stay connected. Property should either update their WiFi or install WiFi extenders near rooms that are the farthest away from the router.

Room smelled like cigarette smoke. Safe didn't work. Exhaust fan didn't work. Safety bar in tub was very loose. Smoke smell seemed to come from vent in bathroom.

Location was perfect for my needs.

Electrical and USB socket are very loose on desk lamps.

Get rid of the mold!

It was not what we expected. I guess we were comparing our expectatations to the free breakfasts we have had all the hotels we usually stay at. It had only plain bagels, a packaged pastry, pancake machine, 3 choices of plain cereal, scrambled eggs and sausage, and biscuits and gravy on Sunday. For a celiacs person - the only food option was the eggs/sausage and then that option was for 1 day. Yes, it was great for some, but not for all.

The smell of the room. It was a real musty moldy kinda of smell.

The area and size of the room

Ask for extra bedding and never received it.
