Hotel La Playa Blanca

We arrived around 6:55pm no one was in the reception , the owner had to be called through phone to come to the hotel to check us in which was then around 7:45pm I was then greeted with an angry man when I had voiced my concerns with no one in reception neither on site , he shouted this is my bisness not yours , that he can’t be waiting for me to arrive to check in he looked intoxicated and was seen drinking on site after we checked in …….. there was a few others also checking in the same time they was disappointed as well my self with what we was faced with was complety different to what was advitised within lovehoildays they checked in and out the next day ……. We entered the room finally 8:30pm the bed was hard , soild so much that my friend had to drag one single bed from another room to place on top of the bed so I’m able to get atleast a decent sleep. A light was hanging off the wall a tv was hoovering over my friends bed which could cause an accident cracks within the walls switch cover had came off the draw handles came off which we couldn’t store our clothes in as the handles were broken , no toilet roll Also the shower was leaking and this wasn’t resolved .we woke up the next morning to a feeling of not being welcomed here ……. The breakfast was below par the cold foods wasn’t store correctly bread pasties were hard unedible and the milk was sour , we went out for the day , we returned there was no hot food served even with it stating online full menu , boss made me and my friend feel from constructive criticism on the first evening checking in waiting for almost 1 hour , the next morning we woke up had breakfast which we both couldn’t stomach there was also an overwhelming smelt of death within the breakfast area …….. another couple fount mould within there fruits we left to go and rent a scooter for the day we arrived back to the hotel later that evening that day to discover money was taken from our room which was left on the side , we then spoke to the nearest available staff which was the manteince guy we got a long with pretty well he said that two woman had cleaned our room one blonde and the other dark hair , he felt guilty for the situation so he gave the money Back his own pocket , he then voiced the next day that the two in question had blamed him for taking the money ,. The manitence guy had mentioned the next morning that the manager will be in later to speak with him to make him aware of the situation. My friend had seen the owner finally on site after a few days of not being there to make him aware of the situation and he said this is impossible it’s never happened , then me and my friend both sat down to enjoy some sun bathing and a few drinks to be then faced with two angry indivauls the manager and his wife who works on the site cleaning rooms charging at us making us feel uncomfortable and we felt attacked , that she didn’t take it and that manager was shouting we wouldn’t take your money and that the mantience guy had been in our room that morning cleaning the aircon with another girl. We was then left after a huge dissagreement and the maintenance guy came across and stated that he wasn’t in our room that they are lying and stated this has happened before with the manager and his wife who works on site with him €87 euros had been taken A few months ago ……. We was left with the rest of the evening being pointed at and talked about by the owner and manager and his wife They claim this hotel is 4 star is not even a 2 star the pool was a green swamp The pool was horrendous green smelt like a old pond and the grout has black mould in the lining too and not ok to be used by the public , it was only after two days of people voicing the same it is that the manitence guy gutted and cleaned the pool on his day off as most people was always voicing concerns to him as the owner was never present Also all the activity’s stated online isn’t the case there’s nothing here Also a third resturant wasn’t even there it has been demolished please see all the attached images as proof in what me and amongst others who checked out shortly after checking in was faced with I’ve been informed by love hoildays that this hotel will be removed from there websites going forward as I’m now awaiting compensation amongst others too , also check in time is 11pm by love holidays information as you can see by the poster posted on the front door of the reception states 10pm after would accrue €50 euros to clearly rip people off even more , please also note there isn’t any hot food all images within there online page have been from a previous owner 2 plus years ago and that his breaking uk trading law We are leaving today and have now been intimated by the manager that intimidated us whilst we sat down to sun bath after voicing money had been stolen from our room whilst we was out for the day …….. saying that the images I sent are false and incorrect and I’m lying coming at me with anger , the mantience guy who has been helping us had said you have the right to take legal action for intimidation

I thought the previous reviews were a bit harsh, but gave me low expectations. I must admit when I arrived I didn’t know where to go. I did get there late and none of the telephone numbers worked and despite my arrival before 10pm reception was closed and everywhere was dark (no lighting by the pool!) However when I did flag down a member of staff they were helpful, showed me to the room which I thought was very nice and clean. The room had everything I needed as I did just shower and sleep and the rooms are cleaned every morning. The balconies are a nice touch; but with them being so close together there is no privacy. I also didn’t hire a car so walked everywhere and used the trains frequently (lots of steps and uphill walks though; so if you can I’d say hire a car especially for a short stay and if you’re less abled to walk). Also the restaurant wasn’t open in the evenings so I had to go elsewhere for food, very little choice in the vending machines too. Not much goes on in the town either so I was a frequent visitor in Cefalù roughly 25 minutes on the train. Breakfast was adequate with new items added every day so you had a couple of mixed choices. The pool was half empty and green when I arrived but a couple of days later it was cleaned and full again. I didn’t mind as I had booked for 7 nights and there are also beaches nearby and didn’t worry too much as I knew I came out of season. Overall I enjoyed my stay, I wanted a quiet getaway and I got just that!

Love holidays are selling a product that does not exist!!!!! Hardly any of the facilities are there!! It is a total rip off and a scam. I am making an in depth complaint, there is too much to describe on this review. Basically none of the facilities are there as advertised by love holidays. We were left hungry, cut off and depressed as were other guests. Phoned the emergency helpline for love love holidays but they refused to help us!!!! Totally in breach of false advertising and will take it further if not resolved Do not go there!!!!! This was our first time booking with love holidays and thought we were being sent to a trusted hotel, it turned out to be a NIGHTMARE!

We did NOT stay here as it was disgusting. There was no toilet seat in the ladies toilet. The pool was green & you definitely wouldn’t have risked going in it. There was 1 member of staff serving drink but the owner/receptionist wasn’t even available. In talking to other guests (bless them! They were stuck there for a week!) there was no hot foot available & it’s a very long walk back up (very very steep!!) into town for food. Until the owner is prepared to spend some time/money on this property I would avoid like the plague. The whole road leading to the hotel was under construction also that we hadn’t been warned about so had to abandon our car and drag our cases along an unmade road. The list goes on…. I am just glad we were only booked in for 1 night as they wouldn’t cancel our booking either.

Dålig information om allt, vi fick gå med altl bagage 230 meter p.g.a. vägarbete. När vi kom till receptionen och skulle checka in så fick vi en kortnyckel utan den lilla pappersfickan där man normalt skriver in rumsnummer, tur att man inte har alzheimers sjukdom. Väl till rummet så fick vi inte havsutsikt som vi hade bokat, tillbaka till receptionen och få ett rum med havsutsikt. Väl inne så finns det glasdörrar med fantastik utsikt, det tråkiga att dessa var låsta med en gammal skruv som var extremt svår att sätta tillbaka . Vi frågade när restaurangen hade öppet, det blev tre olika svar och det sista var att den var stängd för kvällen. Hela Hotellet var extrem eftersatt vilket är tokigt då läget vid havet är magiskt. På deras hemsida ska det var ett 4 stjärniga hotell men tyvärr inte värt mer än två stjärnor. Läget däremot är femstjärnigt.

We booked and payed two days but left after one night. This place is just disgusting and a scam! - dangerous access to the stone beach (not suitable for a swim)

We wanted a peaceful, relaxing family holiday by the pool and near the sea, within a manageable budget. We got more than that. The sea with stony beach is clear and water was warm, rich biodiversity and children enjoyed discovering over 5 types of fish within a few minutes. Hotel is clean overall, rooms cleaned every morning, air condition, fridge and kettle working, plenty of sockets to charge all our family's gadgets. The balcony is lovely, windows with good blackout curtains. Sergio and the team have been very accommodating on every request we made, happy to change room, type of board for a very reasonable price, amazing feel valued as a guest by the entire team. Pepe, in Reception, was an amazing source of local information, and very good guidance on how to reach certain off-road destinations. The location is stunning, sunset and sunrise scenic images worth the lengthy journey from Catania. Foodwise, very good chef, tasty 5 meals menu, breakfast with a twist every morning, tasty blue bread! We could notice that the reviews are considered, all that I had previously read seemed addressed when we arrived: plenty of towels, kettle, air con and fridge working quite well. Location wise, it would benefit from hiring a car (which the hotel can help with booking), however train station just outside the hotel with regular trains throughout the day. The entire team have gone and above to make us feel welcomed, by the end of the stay we felt part of a family. Looking into returning.

esperienza da non ripetere, nessuna sorveglianza notturna e nessuno da chiamare in caso di emergenza (il numero era staccato). Per un mancato funzionamento della chiave elettronica siamo stati costretti a passare la notte in auto. Unica cosa positiva la presenza del receptionist, cordiale e paziente nonostante l’accaduto
