Best Western Manchester Bury Bolholt Country Park Hotel

As no longer staying here provides access to gym & pool, will probably look to stay elsewhere in future. Real shame, as I’ve stayed here many times over past few years

Disappointing Stay at the Dated Hotel I recently stayed at this hotel and was quite disappointed with my experience. From the moment I entered the room, it was clear that the place was in desperate need of renovation. The decor was very dated, making it feel stuck in another era. To make matters worse, there was a strong smell of smoke lingering in the room, despite being a non-smoking area. This was particularly off-putting and made it difficult to relax. Additionally, I noticed mold appearing in several corners, which is concerning for both cleanliness and health. The bed sheets were another letdown; they were visibly dirty and didn’t give off a sense of comfort or hygiene. Overall, my stay was far from pleasant, and I would not recommend this hotel to others until significant improvements are made. I didnt stay I checked out early

Friendly and helpful staff. Evening meal wasn’t great and everything could do with upgrading really.

Lovely hotel but bedroom, bathroom and corridors are a little tired and if updated it would be much better - breakfast was good and lovely spa and pool

The bathroom was clean and enjoyed the light in the mirror. I was not very pleased with the room tho, it smelled very old and not fresh. Didn’t like the idea of paying for ice at the bar.

Beutiful surroundings , room was very average, spa is very good….7.5/10.

Home from home

We were staying at this hotel as we had been invited there for an evening doo for my friends wedding. We were quite disappointed from the start. On arrival we were told that we had to pay extra for the use of the pool, which we were unaware of, as online it states the hotel has 2 pools. Turns out these are not site, so are at an extra cost. When we arrived at our room, it was the furthest away and quite a walk from reception. The room was very dated & smelt damp when we entered. The furniture was very well worn, The carpet was very old and dirty, including rubbish left on the floor. The pillows were very thin, we had to ask for extra, meaning I slept with 4 pillows. The radiators didn’t work so no way of drying our towels if we had wanted more than one shower. The toilet paper was extremely thin, meaning more than normal was needed to be used. The shower leaked all over the floor every time it was used, due to the shower screen not fitting correctly. The bath panel was also very dirty and not fitted correctly. There was snot left on the wall, which is disgusting & the bathroom door handle was also dirty and not even cleaned after house keeping had been in on the 2nd day. My friends were in rooms further down the corridor and they were very modern, unlike ours.

Staff all lovely and helpful, especially Erin (hope I got her name right) in restaurant, beds uncomfortable and hotel very dated but ok for 1 night, food in restaurant and breakfast was good
