"Sad condition of a former grand Hotel"

The location was at the train station! Less than 2 minutes!

The pictures on Booking and even Google are incredible! Beautifully lit up and decorated with unique painting and a grand staircase. Maybe it was grand in the 1800's but it is definitely in sad shape and needs an upgrade desperately. The beds are small and lumpy. The carpet is moist. The wood is chipped and paint is worn. So much potential. Don't get me started on the food.

Mooi oud historisch hotel naast station. Lekker restaurant en pub en fijne zitjes.

Niets, continental breakfast was wat eenvoudig. Met bijbetaling kan een fully cooked worden besteld.

Zentrale Lage.

Ausstattung Zimmer: ok, beste Zeit lange her. Bad: entspricht nicht mehr heutigem Standard eines 4☆☆☆☆ Hotels. Badarmaturen verrostet, Wasser lief kaum ab. Hoher Einstieg in Badewanne = Rutschgefahr. Fenster: verrostet, waren kaum zu öffnen. Farbe blättert innen am Rahmen ab. Frühstück: einmal und nie wieder! Ausschließlich billige Packungen wie im Supermarkt, Inhalt von minderwertiger Qualität. Völlig lieblos hingestellt. Kaffeeautomat defekt. Erinnerung an die 80iger Jahre in einer Jugendherberge, die schlecht geführt wurde. Mitarbeitende: desinteressiert und wenig hilfsbereit. Es ist schade, ich kann das Hotel niemandem empfehlen. Preise hoch, Standard eines Hotel dieser Kategorie nicht vorhanden. Sehr schade.

"Traditional old style hotel in prime location"

Excellent location. Quiet. Comfortable beds. Good black out curtains in my room. Good, old fashioned hotel with traditional decor.

A bit shabby. Carpets grubby and worn. Dated bathrooms. Mediocre breakfast buffet. Could do with a mega makeover.

"Comfortable, convenient and value."

Place was great. It's a little tired but felt like an"Old Grand Dame" of Hotels. Amazing lobby, good restaurant and easy to get to. Right in the center of town. Huge rooms. I really enjoyed my stay and it didn't break the bank.

"Old hotel in need of updating"

location and staff - most of them were very nice

Hotel needs updating - threadbare - piles of supplies and linen left in main areas off lobby - plumbing problems (even though they fixed them promptly). Hotel is tired and needs some work
