Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Slidell by IHG

The room got dark.

Poor condition of the facility.

It was located near the interstate.

Attitude of the staff when asked to change rooms.. Halls where nasty. I asked lady that was cleaning the rooms to change my towels out and she never did..

Gross rooms. Both rooms were open when I got to them. Disgusting facility and the people working the front desk are useless. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Definitely the worst holiday inn I’ve ever stayed at

Dirty, doors broken, no restaurant, the new construction is a complete disaster flooring put together in properly. And the place smells horrible. Check in staff. were playing music with cuss words. would never stay here! My dogs kennel is cleaner than this place

Staff was great, location was good, beds were comfy, free breakfast was okay they had eggs, bacon, sausage, etc

The whole place had a musty, funky smell, construction going on, tub had bugs,

They couldn't get keys to open the door so anytime we wanted to leave 1 of us had to stay. Or have them hook a machine to the door to open it for us. Even tho the room was just remodeled. The shower head just dangled and you had to manually hold it up. The TV and phone didn't work. And they did remodeling work late so there was no peaceful relaxing.

Service was great but the hotel is old. It is as clean as it can be for the age of it in the room. Our only big complaint was the smell, carpet may be old or wet from the AC. Overall not bad for a quick stay

No one was at the front desk for 10 minutes

This Holiday Inn location is not exactly a jewel in the crown for the IHG brand.... We regularly stay at Holiday Inns when we travel, and this was the only negative experience we have had with the chain. When we arrived, we were assigned to room 227. At first glance, the room seemed OK: the bathroom fixtures all looked clean, as were the bedsheets. But we quickly noticed a bad smell emanating from the A/C. The bedside lamp had some sort of greasy dust all over the base, and there was a dried spill of something on the table next to the sofabed. I asked for a different room, and we were changed to 325. This room seemed clean and smelled OK, but the alarm clock had the wrong time and could not be reset. The building's elevator had no inspection certificate, and I doubt it would have passed inspection anyway. When my husband was pushing the luggage cart onto the elevator, I stood outside and put my hand in front of the door to keep it from closing. It closed anyway, and I had to dive into the elevator to grab the door-hold button. The final straw came in the morning, when we came down for breakfast, and were told that there wouldn't be any because the "breakfast person" had failed to show up. The clerk who was at the desk told us that it has been like this for a long time already, and they get complaints every day from guests.
