Holiday Inn Express & Suites Morehead by IHG

Breakfast was great! Lots of variety. Limited options for our Celiac members but there were options for them to safely eat. Serving utensils were cross contaminated in cereals and and from egg, sausage, to biscuits which could be problematic to anyone who does not eat pork. However, there were other options to safely eat. Fruit, juice, coffee, and tea were offered 24/7 which was quite appreciated. The bed linens were extremely white and very clean. The bed and pillows were comfy. Tje floors were vacuumed well. We peaked around for bed bugs, bugs in closets and at baseboards and didn't see a single thing. The bathroom, while pretty sparse in offerings comparatively speaking as far as towels and shampoos, etc, was cleaner than almost any hotel we have stayed. The curtain wasn't quite wide enough for the curved rod. Frustrating because it caused water to be on the floor but not a huge deal. The ac/heat unit wasn't as loud or dirty as in many hotels. The hallways were pretty quiet and we didn't hear noise from any other rooms during the evening which was pleasant. The loudest thing we heard was the refrigerator so all in all not bad at all. Some of the outlets weren't the greatest (loose fitting, slow charging, one didn't work) and there weren't a lot. It wasn't a big deal just be forewarned if you need to charge multiple devices. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Checking in and checking out was very simple and quick. I am pretty picky and we stay in hotels often. I was extremely happy with this stay and would be happy to use this hotel every time we visit the area.

We have difficulty getting any type of food delivered to us. That isn't the hotels fault but the local restaurants, etc wouldn't deliver there. We tried using the suggested list of places to call provided by the hotel.

Location and staff was exceptional

Lists as Morehead but check the timing of the drive. This isn’t the closest you can get to campus or town. It’s further out. About 15 minutes out of town if that matters. There are hotels in town.
