This was in a beautiful area and the restaurant was amazing. The staff were super helpful and friendly. It feels like things are in a bit of disrepair and I assume that unless they put some effort into upkeep the now minor issues will become worse overtime. The swinging bridge was closed but not advertised as such on the website. If this is important to you, call. It didn’t look/sound like there were plans to fix it. If you have a camping mindset when you book, this will be a great experience; if you have a resort/hotel experience in mind, you may be unhappy judging from the chalet we stayed in. Highly recommend the boat tour, seafood chowder, burger, and Sherbrooke Village (15min away). We really enjoyed our time there but we were looking for that camping/fishing/hiking atmosphere😊.

Whilst the property seems a little run down in some aspects the staff were extremely friendly, the rooms were quiet with comfortable beds and opportunity to kayak was enjoyed.
Lovely stay, the staff were helpful and empowering to our odd requests and accommodating to a young family.

This resort needs serious updating and improvement as it is very scruffy. We had booked a chalet for two nights. We checked in and were given keys. When we got to the chalet the bed linen had not been changed from previous occupants and the room hadn’t been cleaned. Curtains were damaged and the whole chalet looked very poor. We complained and were immediately shown a room in the main lodge which was slightly better although the carpet was old and dirty. We took this as we had no other option. We got the feeling that we weren’t the first people this had happened to. Food in the restaurant was average but little options for gluten free which we needed for my wife. It’s a shame as the location of the lodge is lovely and it could be so much better if it was updated and maintained properly.
I’ve been coming to the lodge for 30 yrs, the chalets and cabins are looking tired and it’s a large property to keep on top of
