The property is gorgeous. Close to River Park Mall.

They do not have enough staff for their guest at the property. If you’re checking in at 3:30 or four, you can expect very long weight lines of a half an hour or more. The telephone rings to the front desk and really should go to the housekeeping department. It’s one of the errors they’re making. I’ve tried that they have the front desk do too much. I had to call five different times to get the bedding for the pullout couch. The first phone call we made was to get items that we needed for the room that were left. Housekeeping had to come back back-and-forth because they forgot to break the items each time. It took them three trips in over an hour and 15 minutes. Somehow, I got a confirmation that we had three massages. I would not chest their online booking system as when we went for our massages. They had our names somehow in the system, but we were not booked for massages. They were able to give us 60 minute massages instead of 90 minutes the next day. But it was another example of lack of quality I had come to expect from the Davenport. If we need something for housekeeping and put the housekeeping light on , our room is generally not made up until between 430 and 6 o’clock. (Toilet paper towels, etc). We stayed several nights so we need to have replacements for items. The service was extremely slow. The restaurants are pretty good still. The French onion soup is still really great. I did have a hamburger at the peacock and I could barely eat it- it was very salty which is crazy because I usually put too much salt. I only eat part of it and remove the bun that had the extra salt on it. I stayed at the Davenport many times before, but not for the last couple of years at the historic. Qualities has seemed to really go downhill as customer service. Oh, by the way.
