Days Inn by Wyndham Kenner/New Orleans Airport South

Did not end up staying here. Hotel appears to be permanently closed.

Rust on all metals. Room had a bad odor .

I booked this hotel without reading the reviews because our flight like many that day was cancelled due to weather. I grabbed the first hotel offered so I didn’t have to spend the night on an airport floor. Having the free shuttle was nice. Breakfast not available due to Covid. First room they gave us everything it it was rusted, dirty, missing pillow cases, no towels, lamp shades, bed spread, carpet all dirty. I went back to front desk and they moved me to a different room. Still missing towels and an ice bucket. Not all the plugs worked. But the TV and WiFi worked. This hotel needs a complete renovation and should not be offered as a listing at this point. Plus doors on an exterior entrance, thin doors and walls so you could hear the train, planes and automobiles very clearly. They did have hand sanitizer in the room and sanitizing wipes. It looked like we were expected to wipe it all down ourselves. Which I did.

Elevator not working has to use the one on other side of property and then walk it all back with handicapped

They had bed bugs in every room on the top floor. I found some in my bed and asked for a refund. They showed me all of the other available rooms, minus a couple that were listed as available because they hadn’t been cleaned. I could have overlooked the floors not being vacuumed if the rooms themselves weren’t infested with bed bugs :-( very disappointing for Wyndham. They also told me I would have to wait for Monday for a manager to approve a refund for me, but it’s Monday and I still haven’t heard back. I’m assuming I won’t be getting a refund. I did check out with in like, 2 hours of being checked in :-/

Front desk personnel did not show up until 9:30 AM so I could not get a receipt. No one there could print a receipt. Needs backup training.

There was trash outside the door to the room, there was a dirty towel hanging in the shower, and no toilet paper in the bathroom. Rust on the bar where the hairdryer was. I understand old furnishings, but this was the worst Days Inn I’ve been to.

Was shock at the room not even a bottle water vending machine out of use

The address for this hotel takes you to various places not the hotel. It looks nothing like the picture and based on its location DO NOT stay there. You do not want an external room door in NOLA.
