Red Buffalo House Hotel

Good rooms that are quite large and the price is very fair. The food was also very good and staff were quite helpful. Happy.

Nice place, great value for money

We had a nice stay. We liked it.

Good. Much better than I expected. Whatever they said they would do they delivered. Food was very good and good staff.

The place is easily accessible from Langata,town or by pass. It has a parking space and there is a pub. Due to lock down in the country. The pub and kitchen are closed by 8pm. Its price friendly. The TV is connected to Netflix so you can watch movies all through out. They offer ear plugs coz of it's proximity to the by pass. The room is run down, the toilet had cracks, there was no hot water for showering, the mosquito net was in tatters, the bathroom wasn't clean, the bed would squeak. It needs a lot of renovation.

Over the last 4 weeks I stayed there altogether 3 times. Very close to Wilson Airport. Fast wifi. The bed might be a bit short for tall people. Twice I had nice dinner there. It's a budget place with very good price/value ratio. Friendly staff. 300 KES by UBER Taxi from Wilson Airport (normal taxi 700 KES).

Worst hotel ever, it took us more than 2 hrs to locate the hotel as in google map its at a different location. The worst part, 100's of mosquitos in the room, no fan, no mosquito nets. We checked out at 3am and looked for another hotel. Fortunately we got one. I completely do not recommend anyone, especially who is very sleepy and needs rest.

I had booked in the morning, flew to nairobi in the afternoon and upon arrival, just before I was going to reach the hotel, received a message that they had found another client who could make a downpayment through mpesa (which i couldnt, being new to Kenya) and had cancelled my reservation. They seem to be more money minded than client service minded.

Peter and his staff are the best! I haven't seen somebody so helpful and kind to clients like Peter. They are putting a lot of effort to this place, so it would be the best. This is the perfect place for people who have just arrived in Nairobi and want to acclimate with the weather and local life, because it's quiet and peaceful area to walk and look around, shops are nearby and of course The Nairobi National Park's corner is like 200m away. I certainly reccomend The Red Buffalo House for people who know where they are going and want a budget accomodation. It is not a place to look for a 5 star hotel, but it has smoething that 5star hotels will never have. If we go back to Nairobi, then we know where to stay.
