The hotel was not full, so it was quiet. Not sure why we ended up on the 2nd floor. Breakfast was lame-cereal and waffles and coffee and that was it! I don't remember if I chose the beds, but ended up in a room with a double for husband and me. Bed seemed older, with dent in the middle. We'd stay there again.

The hotel was old and run down and musty smelling. The room was marginally clean and the towels and sheets were stained. Breakfast was supposedly included, but the only thing put out was a pot of coffee, a jug of milk, and a cereal dispenser which was empty except for 1 container of cornflakes. So your breakfast choices were coffee and cornflakes. The area did not appear clean and the choices were not appetizing so we left. The hotel was a budget price around $80 plus a $30 pet fee so I was not expecting anything fancy. However, even for that price I expect better than a smelly room with nasty linens. If they advertise breakfast there should be at least be some basic options like toast or bagels. To make matters worse we discovered when we got home that they double charged us for the pet fee because the person at check in could not figure out how to run the charge. Now I am having to spend my time to dispute the duplicate charge with my credit card company.

This hotel was the worst experience. The facility was old and musty. Our linens were stained and gross. Breakfast options were a pot of coffee, a jug of milk, and a cereal dispenser that was half empty and only offered cornflakes. To top it off when we got home they double charged us for our pet fee so I am having to dispute that with my credit card company. Steer clear of this one!

This is a combined review for 2 different rooms. I reserved and checked into a room with a single bed. Upon entry into the ground-floor room, I noticed a rather unpleasant unknown odor, and when I tried to close the window curtain, one side had about 4 inches unhooked from the rod, and it would not close all the way, leaving a gap that would allow anyone on the outside to look in, so the room lacked privacy. I complained to the desk about these 2 issues and he came to the room to check. He could not close the window curtain either, so he told me I could switch to the room across the hall, which had 2 beds as they did not have another room available with one bed. That room smelled fresh and the curtain closed as it should. I had no complaints about anything in that room.

Staff were friendly, located in a nice area close to shopping.

The room was very dirty, especially the bathroom. It also had a problem with cockroaches, and reeked of cigarette smoke.

I wanted to get a good night sleep before an important event the next morning. Location was in a quiet part of town. Room was mid hallway and noises were at a minimum. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was a letdown. Had a banana and cup of coffee.

This hotel met my needs. It was nothing fancy, a little dated, but I was looking for an inexpensive hotel in Washington, IL that was clean and comfortable. This accomplished this. The staff was friendly, and helpful. I would come back here.

The reservation made a month ago was not honored at the stated cost of 160.40. They charged me 190.40. Room wasn’t cleaned after the first day.
