Hotel Keihan Kyotoeki Minami

It was really pleasant and the breakfast was really enjoyable.

Convenient and nice area.

The hotel location is perfect. The general cleaniless is there, coupled with weird room layouts and subpar bed...the pillow is in the hard and dense side. Ended up I woke up before 6am every day...

Well located near the train station. It is hard to dine in the station because of long lines waiting. We used the JR pass to visit many sights so this hotel is just across the street from the station is a plus. Like other budget hotels in Japan. The room is small. We barely can place our luggage.

Great location just opposite to Kyoto train station on the west exit and lots of restaurants around but the hotel service was not great and breakfast was terrible, cold and breakfast place was very small hence they allowed you to takeaway. Worst of all you were asked to take your tray to the empty station to empty your tray after breakfast. We ended up only had 2 out of 5 breakfasts even we had paid it in advance we had to go to buy our own breakfast in the morning.

The hotel is very convenient located, very supportive staff and one small thing which really moved me. My nail clipper fell apart and I had to leave in a rush so I left the parts on the table. When I came back in the evening, I found my nail clipper was fixed by the staff who serviced the room, I am very touched by this gesture!

I will probably go back as the location is super convenient

Location is good, just opposite hachijo west exit at kyoto station. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was ok. Only downside I would say is the washroom is small, and has no separate shower room only a bathtub beside basin and bidget. Not suitable for elderly as it is fall-prone I feel. I myself accidentally slip in bathtub. 😔 Need to be extremely careful showering in bathtub. Nonetheless, overall it is still a good stay.

I enjoyed my stay. Room is small but acceptable under Japan business hotel standards. Excellent water pressure. Might be the strongest one out of all the hotels I stayed in Japan. Located right across JR Kyoto station. Very convenient with 711 and Lawson nearby. One thing to note is that the hotel is on the south side of the station - the opposite of the bus/express bus stations. If your itinerary includes a lot of buses, you need to give yourself 10 - 15 mins extra to get to the other side.

New hotel, affordable modern near Kyoto station. Would stay again.
