Bishop's Lodge, Auberge Collection

Auberge seems to just get it right and Bishops Lodge is one of their best examples. You feel like you are tucked away in the mountains but with a five star staff, food, and accommodation. I highly recommend experiencing this resort.

Resort is beautiful during the Christmas Season, with the entire resort lit with farolitos and lights. Staff is wonderful, food was excellent. Short drive into Santa Fe Plaza for Christmas lights. Our weather was extraordinary with temps in the upper 50's and lower 60's so walking the grounds and a few of the adjacent trails behind the resort, although challenging for some due to the steep hills for some of the rooms, was very nice.

To start on a positive note our dinner and service at Sky Fire was excellent! It was one of the best meals we have had in ages and the trout was perfection. Thomas was a wonderful server. Additionally, the young men at valet have been very kind and welcoming. Rayna the concierge has also been very helpful. To preface I never write bad reviews. But I am beyond disappointed. We could have stayed at any hotel in Santa Fe, but chose Auberge because we experienced wonderful hospitality in Telluride and love the Aspen and Napa locations. This was supposed to be our special Christmas getaway, as my fiancé just beat cancer and I have been in the hospital with my Dad for the past 6 weeks. I have tried speaking to the front desk manager and also texted the other concierge yesterday with no response. We checked into a room that was dirty, with a crooked tv, a broken side table and in a dark dirty hallway. Our fireplace is so loud we can not use it. This is supposed to be a sunset room and thought we would have an outdoor seating area like what is pictured on the website, but instead have a tiny balcony. The resort seems hardly occupied and yet it feels like they put us in the worst room they have. We have stayed at five-star hotels all over the world and this has not been a five-star experience. I planned this get away to be really special and I wish we would have just stayed home at this point.

Best hotel we have ever had the pleasure of staying and we travel all over the world. The room and grounds were so beautiful you brought my wife to tears!

Beautiful quiet property nestled into the mountains with hikes available outside your door. The night skies and stars were bright and stunning. Our room was lovely, felt new, and the kiva inside and outside on the balcony kept us warm. Staff is friendly and chill, concierge team is superb! Food is expensive, but it is also very good, especially breakfast! Came for the light, need to return for the spa and the horses. Love how they all loved on my doggo too. Thank you all for making my birthday weekend extra special!

The Bishop's Resort was amazing. The staff and all the amenities were easy to work with and navigate. It is tucked away in the mountains with beautiful views and great hiking trails. Easy access to the Santa Fe square with their shuttle service.

We ended up at Bishop's Lodge last minute over the Thanksgiving holiday. It is quintessential Santa Fe. There is not a more perfect setting for the holidays and the service was exceptional.

This property was stunning. We had the fall leaves and all the views from rooms were mountain views and spectacular. The service was friendly and personal. Products in room - amazing. Food very good. I would come back here when in Santa Fe. This property is outside of downtown, but the shuttle service was great and easy to use. There are also hiking paths all around, which were incredible.

Wonderful accommodations. Friendly staff. Beautiful property and views. Respect for our privacy. Attention to every detail. Amazing getaway for us.

Bishop's Lodge is a wonderful resort! We loved that it is located outside the city and in nature. The rooms and view of the mountains were beautiful. The staff was excellent! The restaurant was excellent. We went every morning for breakfast and had a delicious dinner. The food is excellent. We went horseback riding at the resort which was so fun and the rancher, Emma, was knowledgable and so friendly. We had a lovely spa treatment. We took a hike every morning around the property which was fun. Overall, We'd highly recommend staying at the resort when visiting Santa Fe.
