Treedom Villas and Vardos

המקום נבחר בשל קרבתו לשדה התעופה ג'ורג'. תיקשרנו עם דבי המארחת בווצאפ בדרך למקום. דבי, שהיתה ממוקמת בבקתה לידינו, הזמינה לנו מקומות לארוחת ערב למרות השעה המאוחרת (למעשה לא ניצלנו את ההזמנה...). דבי עזרה לנו מאד בקבלת החלטה היכן לאכול ארוחת בוקר והפעילות שכדאי לעשות, לאור מזג האוויר, למחרת (סיור בשמורת Featherbed ב Knysna), וזאת אחרי שבבוקר הביאה לנו ספישל 4 ספלי קפוצ'ינו מהביל :-)

אחרי הנחיתה בג'ורג' בערב, נאצלנו ליסוע בחושך כמעט מוחלט אל המקום. הדירה ממוקמת בקצה של כביש גישה לא סלול שעולה על גבעה גבוהה (בבוקר גילינו שיש נוף לאוקיינוס ולאגם קרוב). העובד של דבי (שבא לקראתנו ולהפתעתנו - יחף, יש לציין) עזר לנו מאד עם הציוד והעלה אותו לחדר (החדר הוא למעשה בקתה הממוקמת במורד הגבעה, בת שתי קומות, כאשר גם לבקתה עצמה היה צריך להעלות במדרגות את הציוד). זה לא הפריע לנו אבל כדאי לקחת זאת בחשבון כשמזמינים.

Such warm welcoming hosts and staff. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, definitely an experience to repeat ✨️ We enjoyed a 3 course meal that was incredibly delicious.

The hosts were welcoming. The Villa and surrounding garden offered many comfortable spots for relaxing. I was able to run and walk my dog from the Villa in the surrounding area and at the beach that was only 5 minutes away. The linen was crisp and fresh and the bed very comfy. Great shower with plenty of hot water. Lovely view of the sea from the loft bedroom. Sleeper couch on the verandah super comfortable for afternoon naps.

The information booklet said that there would be a crate with wood, kindling and firelighters. There was plenty of wood available but no kindling or firelighters for personal use - had to ask host or staff to light fires. Best to take your own. The accommodation and surroundings are stunning, but traffic from N2 a little noisy during the day.

Lovely and quiet location, nestled right in the middle of the forest. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The property was created by the owners with great attention to detail and a lot of love, which really shows. The house itself was charming and fully equipped with everything you might need: cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, and even firewood for the chimney. It was a perfect escape and a great way to reconnect with nature. However, in my opinion, the space felt a bit small for four people, and the cleanliness was not quite up to standard. It's also worth noting that the location is a bit remote, so it’s a good idea to bring your own food, snacks, and drinks, as it's quite far from tourist attractions.

There were ants everywhere—especially inside the fridge, which was quite unpleasant. The only source of heating is a chimney located downstairs. Unfortunately, it doesn’t heat the space evenly. While it remained cold downstairs, it became extremely hot upstairs. Once the fire burned out during the night, the entire place became incredibly cold. That said, the stay might be much more enjoyable during warmer months.

it was not clean, all furniture run down, sigaret holes in the chairs, close to a highway with lot of noise, broken tiles in the bathroom
