Best Western Gatwick Skylane Hotel

Stayed overnight on the 23 of Sept en route to Spain and left the car there until the first of Oct. This modest hotel is very clean and close to the airport. It offers brilliant value for money and will be using it again in the very near future. The manager Mukesh Kumarb was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble..

Confusion over what date it was at check-in, thinking we booked for the day after but we didn't. Room is very basic, one flat pillow each, aircon is locked on and very very noisey. Can hear everything others get up to in their bathroom, including whatever they are doing in the loo! Water pipes going over or around the room very loud and make a vibrating noise everytime someone uses water in another room. Left as soon as we woke up after an uncomfortable night on a very hard matress. Whole place needs a fresh update and need for more covid measures other than a bottle of hand gel at reception.

A reasonably priced hotel offering clean comfortable rooms and safe, off road parking within easy striking distance of Gatwick. Unfortunately, for obvious reasons there are limited facilities at present but the very attentive Mr. Kumar was available to offer good advice for local eateries and amenities, and his taxi connections were efficient, polite and reliable. Highly recommended!

Room smelled bad was very noisy shower was cold, did not sleep here I left and went to the premier inn 2 minutes down the road cheaper and much nicer!

At check in I got told if I wouldn’t mind being put in a room without a tv which obviously isn’t an option. Then got told they have no double rooms available even tho that’s the type of room I booked so ended up in a triple room with three single beds. Also I choose the option to add breakfast for £8 which turned out to be a grab and go breakfast, for £8 I don’t think so!!!

I have too say. I was unsure about the hotel after reading some reviews. Don't even worry. For the money we paid, it has too be the best value for money for hotels we have stayed in from the time we walked in it was good customer service. The room was clean and all the services it stated in the ads. Perfect sky lane thanks you for a great stay and we will see you again on the 29th as we fly out again.

Firstly the hotel was clean and modern, the few issues we had was the TV did not work, we moved rooms, and that TV didn’t work, so we gave up as it was only for a night. The bed was like sleeping on a sack of potato’s, every move hurt, was lumps and bumps every where you turned so not much sleeping took place. Then came the shower, at least I think it was a shower, may have just been a slow dripping pipe, the sink in the bathroom did not drain in under a few hours either. Apart from that it was OK

Fantastic service, Mukesh is a very nice person, parked my car for Gatwick Airport, travelled to Turkey this month. Also they give airport shuttle transfer. I have used many times never had a problem, Will definitely recommend to everyone.

We stayed overnight before an early flight at Gatwick. The room was ok but quite cramped (adult & 2 children), fittings quite dated and the air conditioning didn’t work. The chap behind the front desk was helpful and brought us a much-appreciated electric fan, otherwise it would have been stifling! Taxi turned up as booked and about 10mins to the airport, so very handy for the flight. Car parking is around the back and all safe and good when we returned.

Polite staff when checking in, hand sanitiser everywhere and 24 hour taxi phone at reception - and we got to keep our car key instead of handing it over. The room was fine but basic and the lift wasn't in use due to covid so we had to carry our 4 suitcases up stairs. We would have been comfortable had it not been for the dirty towels (dust and stains) and bathroom - sink had grime behind the taps and the shower curtain was stained. We would have told reception but no one was there when we checked out in the morning. Other than the grubby feel of the room, we enjoyed our stay due to the pub down the road - The Farmhouse - which has a beautiful beer garden and great menu. The shuttle bus was also not in use as advertised on the Best Western and Holiday Extras websites so we had to pay for a taxi, but this was £7 and the driver helped with bags, provided sanitiser etc. Even though this was cheaper than Premier Inn for parking etc, I wouldn't stay here again.
