The Lalu, Sun Moon Lake

景色風情良く，ホテル施設が素敵でスタッフの皆さんも親切なホテルでした。一泊しか出来ませんでしたが、こちらには2泊以上してゆっくりホテルライフを楽しみにいくのが良いかと思えました。 夕飯は中華料理をチョイスしました。味は合格点でしたが、雰囲気と設えはイマイチで、もう少し台湾の雰囲気とスタッフ対応に落ち着きを作っていただけたら満点だと思います。

Great service by the staff. The Hotel also offers one of the best views of Sun Moon Lake.

フロントに日本語を話せるスタッフが数人いるのでとても助かりました。他のスタッフも親切です。電動自転車で転倒して救急病院に行きましたがその際も色々と助けていただきました。 親身になって接して下さるので、大変心強く感謝しています。 スパの技術も素晴らしいです。鉄板焼きも美味しかったです。

We had the private villa with the private pool. There is plenty of private and quiet indoor and outdoor space. Plenty of space in the bathroom. The bed is comfortable as is the shower and bathtub. There needs to be better lighting in the place as it is dark. Also the breakfast buffett that the serve is nice, although the place can get crowded and noisy so you should have breakfast early, not late. The location of the Lalu is magnificent!

We absolutely loved this hotel. Super people, beautiful room and spectacular views made it a very special couple of days. The restaurant even managed to accommodate our coeliac friend, which has been difficult to achieve in Taiwan so far. We had a small medical emergency where Marshall helped us to get to hospital late one evening - he was brilliant. Alex helped us on arrival and Julian was execellent working out gluten free stuff in the restaurant. We had the set menu in the restaurant on our first night and it was so good we had it again on the second night. Couldn’t say enough about this special place - just a massive thank you, we feel lucky to have been here.

We had a beautiful one night stay at the Lalu. After a boat trip on Sun Moon Lake we checked in to the hotel. The place is absolutely lovely. So serene. Teak wood and quiet elegance. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, overlooking the pool, koi pond and Sun Moon Lake. Despite the onset of Typhoon Kong Rey and all of the rain, the vistas were amazing. In the morning we took a rainy walk on the Han Bi trail. The history of the property is very interesting. The architecture is stunning. The breakfast buffet is massive and delicious. As Americans on a first visit to this part of the world the Lalu was a perfect place to stay and experience something special.

Loved our stay. The view from our balcony is breathtaking and the service is impeccable.

Everything is perfect! Definitely we would visit again.

The Lalu is clearly a top notch hotel and the facilities and staff are excellent. A few specific positives - Marshall and Allen both went above and beyond in terms of their service. The Japanese restaurant meal was top notch. The Spa was very good. Being able to walk out and around the lake was great, as well as the boat trip across to the pagoda. A few suggestions for improvement - the pool area got very noisy with lots of children shrieking, so some thought on how to balance this would make sense. We enjoyed the Chinese Restaurant food however the ambience is very basic - a big white room in effect.
