The staff was nice and helpful

No amenities. No lunch restaurant and breakfast was below average if I’m being generous. They didn’t provide water every time housekeeping came in. We had to go down to the receptionist to get drinking water. They used plastic bags and cups for room service.

Bed was horrible. My back began aching at 3 am. Then when I got up at6 a.m a mentally ill person was screaming right outside the hotel and kept screaming until 7:45. Staff was very nice.

Breakfast was very good. Staff superb

Air conditioning was out

I booked a one night stay via Hotwire. The rate was great, and since it was booked through Hotwire, i prepaid for the reservation over a month in advance and received a confirmation number. When I arrived at the hotel, they informed me that they would not honor the reservation. The excuse they gave was that the low rate was a "glitch" in the system and that "Hotwire should have let me know" that the hotel was not honoring the reservation because the rate was "too low". The desk clerk and manager on duty could NOT have been less helpful..no effort was made to work with me on finding alternative accommodations. It was up to me to find a room at another nearby hotel, at a significant;y higher rate than what i was promised at the Sam Houston.
