Riviera del Sol

This is my go to place in Playa Del Carmen. Great location, great staff and reasonably priced. Two thumbs up.

Awesome for the price. Comfortable bed and big clean room. AC was cool and ceilings fans was a great addition. Only complaint is the the walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything like is inside your room.

It was a nice place but mattress was super firm and my sheets had a smeared of poop. It was disgusting. The staff was really nice.

Great place

Nice older property. Friendly employees, nice room, great tv in the room, very safe, short block to 5th Avenue and an ok pool. No real negatives.

We chose his property because it had a lot of authentic Mexican culture qualities. The staff was super friendly there was no sales pressure from anyone. It’s still very close to the nightlife so there is some residual noise but not nearly as bad as other properties. Overall this place is wonderful and very close to everything downtown we would definitely recommend staying here.

Perfectly adequate hotel for a sleeping place. Breakfast is extra but my room came with a mini fridge and microwave so I stopped by the grocery store to get essentials. Oddly, there was a coffee pod machine but no pods so I had to get my own. I wish they had at least had a few coffee pods per day. I got a complimentary bottle of water upon check in and my room was cleaned daily. It’s just off the 5th Avenue pedestrian street and it can definitely get loud at night. If you are a light sleeper or don’t want the noise, probably don’t choose this hotel.
