Very pleasant surroundings Staff was very friendly and helpful Breakfast variety was good

Really great house keeping, honestly the best service from that one guy out of all the staff!! The only one smiling and saying good morning on a daily basis besides the women in the restaurant.

Staff not smiling and greeting. Service is extremely slow, we typically waited 45 minutes on anything from a simpel chai to a bucket of ice (one which never arrived!). The hotel manager tried to scam us upon checking out, he wanted to charge us more for the amount of nights we’d been staying at the hotel. However I showed him proof that it was already taken from our bank account and it was booked through the booking.com platform, so he couldn’t charge us more! He still insisted we didn’t pay, and I had to get firm with him, as he also made us 35 minutes late for the airport!! He then agreed that we had already payed, as if it was ever an option that we didn’t! We were in utter chock as we don’t expect this from any 5 star hotel (al though it did not provide five star service!!) and especially not from a booking.com partner! I can’t believe that he actually though we were just gonna believe him and pay for more nights cash at check out!! What a scam!!

This is a good old school 5 star hotel, which it does so well. The grand entry with all its marble, gold and antique style furniture, reminiscent of a Maharaja’s palace, I loved. The room, although again some might say a bit dated, was superbly comfortable. Loved the leather wing chair. So much more personality than other hotels. Restaurant was good, good service, and very good food.

Aimed at the South Indian market and not the international market. The location was good as it suited our needs.

The hotel itself is perfect and lives up to its brand name, the staff were excellent and went out of there way to help. the reception area is well maintained and all services worked within the room and hotel areas.

If I had to put a negative then that would be location as you need transportation to get to all areas.

I decided to stay here because it was recommended. The hotel staff were really nice, especially at breakfast. However, this hotel brand shouldn't have disappointed me, but it did. I requested twin beds which they accomodated.. I was upgraded from my executive room (thank you). I found the room to be dark and outdated, wallpaper was faded, and the rug was never vacumed. I even dropped a tooth pick to test the cleaning, and no, it was there my whole stay. I absolutely hated the bathtub and shower curtain and the unhygienic plastic mat in the tub that looked like it hadn't been cleaned. I kept on removing it, but it kept on appearing. Like I said, people were lovely, but the rooms standards were dark and outdated and for a so called 4 star hotel.... why the shower curtain... serious upgrade needed for the price I paid.
