DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Melbourne - Flinders Street

Bed was very comfortable and buffet decent enough. The location is in a bit of a rough pocket of the CBD being on flinders, but it’s close to everything and very walkable. We love Melbourne CBD.

Highs - All the staff that I interacted with were very friendly, kind and helpful. My room was nice, clean and met my basic needs. Cons - room was right beside housekeeping storage and housekeeping very loud during day. Breakfast buffet was meh, food was cold.

Good hotel and location. I was disappointed to get a room with an adjoining door, not usually an issue but it was not sound proof at all. Occupants of the room next door arrived back after midnight and their TV and general talking were very distracting. Something to be aware of when checking in,

DoubleTree’s location is convenient esp if you’re joining group tours. Pick up and drop off points are just around the corner. I liked the breakfast buffet too, and they were kind enough to create a breakfast box since I left early for my tour. Check-in was convenient. Shoutout to Faith who warmly assisted me from my arrival until my departure. The only thing I didn’t like about my room is that the pillows smelled like sweat, it kinda felt moldy too in the room ‘cause I kept on sneezing whenever I was in the room. My body knows when such conditions exist ‘cause it really triggers a reaction.

Friendly staff, clean hotel and great location. We would stay there again.

Very nice hotel located in the center of the city. You can walk to many different restaurants and shopping areas. It is also very close to public transportation.
