Nicely done property

There was never a person to answer the front desk phone. We called 3 times to ask for towels and report a bat in the pool area, but they never answered. When we tried to check out, there was no one around the front desk. We rang a bell...waited for 10 min... no one came so we left.

We were greeted by a very unfriendly worker who didn’t seem to care we were even there. We went into our room and found there wasn’t a fridge. We had stayed before and knew there would be a fridge so we stopped ant the store for some milk and a few other things we’d need. I went to the front desk and asked her about it and she informed us we didn’t have the right room. She told us if we had booked through them directly she could change it. I asked her if there was anything she could do and she asked if we had a cooler. When I I told her we didn’t she just looked at me. It was clear she was not willing to help us. I tried to fill up the ice container to try and keep things cold until morning but the ice machine was broken. I ended up having to throw away the perishable food. I was frustrated because I knew there were very few guests and it would’ve been so easy to unplug the little fridge from an empty room for us to use. We went to go swim and the pool was freezing and full of bugs and spiders. We cleaned them out ourselves but they seemed to be falling from the ceiling. The hot tub was very hot and foamed with too much chlorine. I was so disappointed because when we came last fall the staff members were so kind and accommodating. We were excited to bring our daughter back to stay. We booked a 3 night stay but I wished I had been able to leave after the first night. We made the best of our trip and were treated much better by other staff members on our 2nd day.

Breakfast is a joke, not even fresh fruit, pastries, or juice of any kind; Deck chairs were broken (straps rotted); Balcony railing broken and/or improperly installed; Hot tub needs resurfacing; Staff not helpful; Desk phone broken, with exposed wires on same; Restaurant closing early; DVD player not plugged in and no remote for it; Hole in the balcony deck; Decor seriously outdated; Musty small throughout the building and some kind of smell reducer thing in the bedroom that lasted 1 day only; Lots of road noise, even on the other side of the building--couldn't enjoy sitting outside on the balcony. I have photos of all! I will say it was CLEAN and the towels were good. Beds were so-so.

Absolutely a wonderful experience staying in your lodge. everything was perfect. Cant wait to stay there again in the future.
