Definitely recommend staying here. clean and comfortable

This property is close to many attractions.

The rooms and the beds were very comfortable & very, very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We did not speak Spanish but we communicated through translation apps. There was no hot water one day until gas got delivered. The location was excellent.

The location is perfect, it is literally close to everything, and I always felt safe. The front desk was always polite and available. The only issues I had were that my shower head wasn’t working and it sprayed water all over ceiling, you could still shower so I only mentioned it to reception and since I was only going to be there for the weekend I didn’t wanna deal with someone coming in to fix it. On expedia it said there would be a hair dryer and iron in the rooms, but you had to go to the front and ask for this items every time! Another thing on the description of the room, it said that there would be free water included, but we had to go ask the front desk for it and at the beginning they kept trying to charge us for it! Overall I would stay here again!

Location….. location…. Location. Dont let the façade fool you. This place is clean, you have everything you need and the location is great !

Excelente ubicación para llegar caminando al Jardin está cómodo el hotel muy limpio pero no esperen el súper servicio los empleados son amables pero no tan atentos, nos toco la habitación 1 que está junto a recepción y se escucha cuando llega cualquier persona y además no tienes la privacidad total (en esa habitación) de ahy en mas todo bien.

The hotel was comfortable and clean very close to everything the only thing is that my room was supposed to be a king suite. I only had a bed no where to sit not even a chair I think they gave me the wrong type of room.

Great option for a 1 night stay, located in a very good area with walking access to the Centro, restaurants & bars

I originally book the Hotel Verbena as I was looking for an authentic Mexican feel. Hotel Origen is not it. I could have been in anywhere USA. Hotel Verbena said that they could not accommodate me, rumor is the WiFi was not working. Hotel Origen had a great location to the centro that was the best thing about it. I had room 2 for 16 nights. The reception is on the other side of the wall, I could hear EVERY thing (reception had a squeaky chair so every move) said or done. There was work going on down the hallway it started to early like 8am. No coffee in room or reception, no safe in room, no blow dryer, or iron. No trap in plumbing so it stunk, I ran bathroom fan non stop and sprayed poo-pourii to help. The two large cabinets where had doors hanging ready to fall off and the others didn't close. was given a room with 2 queen beds as that is what I had reserved at Verbena, originally my daughter and her fiancé were suppose to join me. I was asked to move rooms twice. Upstairs no elevator. Pack and pull heavy suitcase up more stairs, no thanks. I had to stay longer due to flight cancellations they charged me a higher rate per night, then told me one amount and when I went to pay the next day the rate had increased even more. They also said the room I was in was reserved for the days I needed to add, so If I moved they would give me a lower rate but if I paid the higher rate I could stay in the room. So they were lying to me cause reserved is reserved, a higher rate doesn't fix that. Plus, I was basically the only one in the hotel. A few people stayed maybe a night or two. Overall not impressed and would have moved to a different hotel had I not wanted to hassle with finding and moving to one. I will not stay there again.
