Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Phuket and had a very poor and unacceptable experience for a supposed 5-star hotel. My reservation was confirmed not only through Booking.com but also directly by an email from the hotel confirming the booking. Before arrival, I also contacted the hotel to explain the personal context of the trip, as it was a difficult time for my family following the passing of my aunt. I clearly requested that everything be handled smoothly, as I was travelling with my cousin, who needed a calm and stress-free experience. Despite this, upon arrival after a long journey and after already checking out of our previous hotel, we were told at reception that there were no rooms available and were effectively left without accommodation. This was extremely stressful and completely mismanaged given the confirmed reservation. After we insisted and escalated the situation, a room suddenly “became available.” Shortly after, we were shown several other room options in different categories, which contradicted the initial claim that there were no rooms available due to availability issues. This inconsistency created the impression of poor communication and management at reception. During the stay, service did not meet 5-star expectations. The room had significant humidity issues, basic requests such as robes were not properly handled, and even simple delivery items required unnecessary back-and-forth instead of being brought to the room as expected. When raising concerns at checkout, the response felt dismissive, and the only compensation offered was a spa treatment, which did not reflect the seriousness of what happened. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and falls far below the standard expected from this hotel brand and category.

Séjour exceptionnel de quatre jours dans cet hôtel où tout était absolument parfait. Le service a été irréprochable, avec une équipe d’un professionnalisme et d’une élégance remarquables. Le surclassement ainsi que la délicate attention pour mon anniversaire ont rendu cette expérience encore plus mémorable. Une adresse d’exception que nous recommandons sans hésitation.
