Melrose Mansion

Excellent location

The main house is beautiful and the pool looked nice but was too cold to enjoy.

Our room was in a back house, and there were several significant issues that affected our stay. First, the bed was surprisingly small for such a large room and creaked loudly with even minor movement, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. Second, there is a sheer curtain over the window above the door that faces the porch light. The light shines directly into the room and onto your face while trying to sleep. An eye mask is basically required. Lastly, the noise level was a major problem. People regularly sat on the stoop talking on their phones, and there is no real noise barrier. Every conversation could be heard clearly inside the room. We had to buy ear plugs. Overall, these issues made it hard to rest and enjoy the stay.
