Melrose Mansion

Location was great, facilities and staff were wonderful.

There weren’t any extra blankets in the room and the blankets were thin, so I woke cold frequently. I could have asked - that’s on me but very thin blankets are the only bad thing I experienced. Would definitely stay again.

The bed was small. Security felt lax

Great old architecture.... We had the best room, but no door on bathroom, cold weather made room cold with no extra blanket. Jacuzzi tub was wonderful.

on a busy, noisy road. 25 steps to room on 2nd floor, no elevator. Balcony accessible thru window only. Too expensive for the facility, esp. with extra charge for early access. Seemed under staffed.

Beautiful building hotel very well located close to the French Quarter and Frenchmen street. It is in a very quiet neighbohood. The rooms have a good size.

Do not expect any service in the hotel. For example nobody was at the reception during one morning of our stay. Consequently it was not possible to have any breakfast that morning while the breakfast was included in the room price !!! After complains, no refund or even some decent excuses were proposed. By the way, the other days the breakfast was extremly limited. Also, as nobody was at the reception during that morning, the new guests arriving at the hotel had no option to wait outside with their luggages since the only phone number provided was not answering...

The person who greeted us was professional, easy going and fun. Her intel on New Orleans was great. The hotel has a nice pool that I will come back for- it was a little chilly when we were there- it would be a welcome amenity on hot days. Coffee and small breakfast. Nice space, good location.

Breakfasts were rather skimpy.... unless you like bagels, which I don't. Very few cereal boxes and, one morning, none.
