Based on online reviews and images on Booking.com which books through OYO, I booked a room at Townhouse 176 Rajdhani Residency, conveniently located near the exam center. However, the reality was a stark contrast to the online facade. The hotel lacked a proper entrance, and even the taxi driver expressed disbelief at our choice. He felt pity for us. Even the parking was nonexistent, and replaced by a large, unfinished gutter. The interior was dimly lit and felt unsafe and shady. Contrary to the online claims and even talking to OYO customer care (as nowhere they have provided with properties phone) that told us that this has restaurant of its own, the hotel did not have a restaurant but some sort of menu lying in room. The owner was dismissive, informing us that the nearest dining options were 2-3 kilometers away. Feeling trapped due to limited alternatives, we reluctantly checked in. Nearby restaurant is there for truck drivers though but couldn’t trust in hygiene. The hotel's service was equally appalling. The room was in a deplorable state. A broken key attached to an old credit card served as our room key. There was no table, no proper lock for room, and the television was non-functional. When it was told to them it doesn’t work they say no it doesn’t work and close the topic. The room was dirty, with no attention to basic amenities like tissues or even clean plates. They only have plastic cup and plastic spoon. Nothing else. Only 2 plates and when asked more they refused. Staff responsiveness dwindled over time, and fulfilling simple requests became a challenge. Basic amenities like tissues and proper cutlery were absent. The room was unclean, with dirty bedsheets which they don’t even change and a dusty environment fearing scabies infestation.
