Larimar Hotel and Resort

The staff were pleasant. The beds were ok.

The hotel was dark and dreary, no "real" breakfast on site and if you ate what they offered in your room because there is no dining room... there was only one chair in the room. There was not one hook anywhere in the bathroom or room to hang the towels, sink faucet was so strange and far away from the edge of the sink itself that you had to reach way over wash your face! No hangers to hang clothes and no hair dryer in the room (I asked for one and they leant me one). This was definitely NOT a resort and I'd not stay there again.

The rooms were decent and fresh linen. They had early check in for 15usd

Honestly was very disappointed in this space. Felt like an abandoned hotel. For a “hotel and resort” there was NOTHING resort-like about it! Importantly this hotel is about 40-50mins away from phnom pehn. Imagine having to sit in a car for that much time back and forth each time you want to go into the city- which btw is where everything is!! To make it worse, they essentially did not have any other services besides breakfast which you wouldn’t know until you asked. They do not have a spa service, their restaurant was closed, staff always seemed busy but cleaning the pool side didn’t start until after 10am. Under amenities it says they should have an iron. When i asked for one or if they did laundry one staff told me they didn’t and i another “borrowed” one from their laundry service and asked me to return it asap or they couldn’t do their work!!! Any cursory search would tell you they have this and that and it’s all a lie. Staff could be more patient ( and i don’t mean just smiling for the sake of it but actually wanting to be helpful) especially with guest that speak english. It felt like they were always ready to say no and i couldn’t tell if they were just uncomfortable with english or downright didn’t care. I tried to check out early and they told me i had to wait for the manager who would not be in until 10am. I had already booked a tour and couldn’t wait for him so i just stuck with it. I rarely do reviews but this place is rubbish! It feels like they did have some of these services at some point but no longer do. It would be better to be upfront about changes to your services so you don’t have people feeling disappointed.

Quiet oasis in a busy city. Has a nice pool and lots of greenery around it. Staff are very nice and speak some English. Breakfast can be provided for a fair price. The rooms are spacious.

Having a TV and having one that actually works are two different things. None of the nice looking TVs actually work. The lovely cafe in the front has sadly closed. The towels need an upgrade.

Het hotel is een oase van rust in de drukke stad. Het personnel is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Het klaarmaken van het ontbijt duurt lang. De 2e dag dat we er waren hebben we 45 minuten moeten wachten; het werd toen gebracht juist toen we eigenlijk al weg moesten. Die avond hebben aangegeven hoe laat we de volgende ochtend weg moesten en dus hoe laat we wilden ontbijten; dat ging goed.
