Bayview Plaza Waterfront Resort

I really liked that it was a small, very friendly environment. The staff greeted you with a WELCOME HOME. I thought that was a nice touch. All and all I had a great experience.

Nice location. Best to reserve room closest to beach access because their are 3 properties but only one has beach access. Pools are clean. Free happy hour at pool near beach access. There are a couple of restaurants nearby and a Walgreens. If you have a boat, you can dock it on the property on the bay. They have grills available for cooking out and a nice kitchen in each room.

We just spent 3 nights in the "Penthouse Suite". Should have left after seeing it. VERY rundown and on top of that, dirty. The pictures you see are not accurate! they are either very old or very "doctored". Also, NOTHING extra...no coffee filters, no paper towels, no S&P...if you plan to cook, bring everything but the pan. Truly an awful place!

I booked the penthouse for the week of May 4th-10th on January 29th. received an email on April 21st from Capital One saying that “Our hotel partner just let us know that, unfortunately, your reservation for Bayview Plaza Waterfront Resort could not be confirmed due to a system error on the hotel's end.” To ensure this was really happening, I called Bayview Plaza Waterfront Resort and I was told that yes, this is true and “We thought we’d be able to open by May 1st, but due to the damage from the hurricanes last year we can’t open due to permits.” I was also told that there was no phone number to reach me at. I find that incredibly doubtful as there are many ways you could have contacted me either through the contact information provided at checkout, or you could have made Capital One Travel aware far in advance other than 14 days away from when I’m suppose to be arriving. Also, on April 7th I emailed frontoffice@plazabeach.com to inquire about having an early check in since my arriving flight is early. I got a reply stating the policy on early check in. So, you can reply to my email and tell me the policy for early check in, but you couldn’t tell me my room was no longer available. There is absolutely zero excuse as how you could not tell me my room was no longer available. First lie- You had my contact information. The second lie is that you ARE open, and you do have rooms available, you just over booked or gave it to someone one else while I was responsible and booked my room 4 months in advance. I know you have people staying there because I can read the hundreds of recent reviews online. Like I stated before, you ARE open, and there are no “permit” or hurricane damage problems…you messed up and now my family has to face the brunt of it. There are slim to no places to stay in St. Pete Beach now that I’ve had to start a new search for a place to stay, while STUCK paying high prices because you chose to cancel my booking and I now have to find a place to stay within 13 DAYS. You really do not understand the trouble you are putting my family through because of this. There was no solution offered. I don’t understand how a company can do this. With such high pride in your customer service and that you strive to be the best, this is the most unprofessional, un-moral thing to do and I’m absolutely disgusted by this. I’m almost at my whits end and will just cancel my whole family vacation because YOU screwed up!

The owner Robert of this resort has been amazing towards Floridians that have been displaced due to the hurricanes. It truly is a comfort to know that there are folks out there that truly care about their communities. Despite not being able to book tourists, Robert has kept us all here and has never once mentioned a checkout date. He has been working tirelessly with the state officials to get Fema to extend us. As he is understanding that we still are having a hard time finding a permanent place. I cannot express the gratitude that I have towards the Bayview Plaza resorts in Saint Pete Beach. Since I have been here, it’s been a place of healing and comfort. The room I am in has been renovated specifically for Fema recipients. The amount of support the staff and Robert have shown us is immeasurable. The accommodations they have provided us as nothing short of stellar. Outside of being displaced this is the best resort I’ve ever stayed in in Florida. And what makes it better is the fact that the owner is truly active in the community and has true concern for the community. I cannot say the same for other places throughout Florida. I’ve stayed at three other places in all three times I’ve had to relocate due to the hotels wanting to have those rooms available for tourists. Robert has not done that at all. He’s kept us here despite the fact that Fema has stopped paying for a room and we are still awaiting for Fema to extend us. Again, the amount of gratefulness I hold is not measurable.

The vintage style inside the lobby is so cool, the staff is super friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful day at the beach on the resort property and our room was very clean and quaint. Can't wait to visit again.

Staff was absolutely amazing. Always checking in with us to make sure we were ok. Tons of food and entertainment options within short walking distance. Dolphins, Manatee coming up close to our room everyday. Very peaceful it was an absolute wonderful and relaxing time.

It was a spur of the moment decision between my fiance and I to stay there and I'm so glad we did, the beaches are the best, they have so much activities you can do on site, the prices are pretty low and we loved the room...Will be coming back ......

Feel blessed to have spent 2 blissful weeks at this amazing Resort. No negatives - friendly, helpful staff, immaculately clean accommodation and the most stunning waterside location. Close to shops, bars and restaurants...and Elvis in the lobby, what's not to like!
