Rooms are clean and smell nice. Accessible rooms have grab bars in the bathrooms and are conveniently located on the 1st floor near the front desk. The rooms are a little on the small side but doable. Staff was very nice and accommodating and checked multiple times in how our stay was going.

We've stayed at the Holiday Inn in Crystal Lake several times. Their entire staff is exceptional, and their breakfast is well above other hotels.

We came for a celebration for our son and daughter in law. We have been visiting our son at least once a year since he moved to the area in 2016. Over the years we have stayed at the Holiday inn and have always had a great experience. This time was just as great! The staff was attentive and pleasant as usual, the rooms clean and comfortable and the location is less than 15 minutes from where our son lives. The bartender Silvino remembered our granddaughters from a previous trip and made them special “kiddie cocktails “. We will continue choosing the Holiday inn in Crystal lake for our future visits.

Rooms are clean and well appointed. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Very disappointed with the breakfast buffet. “Cafeteria” quality eggs. Runny. Everything ice cold. Very poor quality and not a value at the $17 price tag.

It’s always amazing staying here at the Holiday Inn at Crystal Lake, IL. Natasza and everyone working there always giving great customer service, always being welcoming and helpful. And the food there so tasteful, breakfast is great. Looking forward for my next stay here.

This is a holiday inn with a ritz Carlton level of service. I have a couple of decades of 200 plus nights a year in hotels and in a past career was a hotel GM. I recently had an extended stay at this hotel and was so impressed I took another job in the area to stay there again. This time I watched so many instances of world class customer service. I saw several instances where they anticipated an upcoming hiccup (a missing menu item, odd kitchen requests, large groups with complex needs) and before the issue happened they swooped in with a better solution. They remember names, they make you feel welcome, but more they make you feel comfortable and at home. They track preferences, anticipate needs, and find ways to make a stay special. I’m particular a few staff stand out: Silvino the restaurant manager should be listed as an attraction for the property. Aside from doing his job very well, he has a fantastic humor and repartee with everyone Natasza the manager is a natural leader. She puts her team first by making them better. She makes every guest feel like this is their home. Aby is a problem solver and one of the friendliest and most positive people that I have ever had the pleasure to meet. If ever a holiday inn were to compete for a Baldrige Award it would be this one.
