Lovely location. Staff were really helpful and polite. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice. Lixal produce. It was a little difficult to find the Bunkers rooms. Had a sign forcthe restaurant but not the accommodation. Overall experience was great.

Well what can I say. Second visit to this fabulous hotel and again I can’t fault it. From the moment you walk in the grand front door, checking in and going to your room it is a delight. Lovely restored old property sympathetically completed without spoiling the grandness. Large bedrooms continue with the grandness. Breakfast, choices extend to salmon dishes with poached eggs etc, alongside the usual buffet style hot options and cereals etc. Looking forward to returning to this magnificent hotel and its grounds.

Beautiful place in large grounds. Choice of 3 restaurants. A little pricey. Be warned it’s about 20 miles from York.

Just WOW!!!!! The refurbished hotel is fantastic, the decor beautiful, food delicious, idyllic location but most of all the service from all the staff made our stay perfect. Just loved the place and will be back 🙌

"To the Manor Born"

A short stay lovely hotel, could not fault anything. Room very nice , food and the service delivered with a smile. The diner was expensive and the wine in particular. Breakfast was excellent. There is also a lovely and very friendly pub within walking distance which is an added bonus , again the landlady was chatty and welcoming . The food highly recommended.
