Marriott St. Louis Grand

One of the worst experiences I have had. Stayed there for a wedding. The hotel was difficult to find as the signage was too high up to see from the car. We valeted our car for $58 per day. On the day of the wedding it took over 30 minutes to retrieve our car and we were late to the wedding. Did get there for the ceremony, but had to sit in the back. Paid a very lot for very little. Beyond dissapointed.

Stayed for GalaxyCon 2025. Beautiful lobby, but the place could use some updates. Started out by coming in and needing to find the restroom. Took quite a while, go around here, around here, down here, around 2 corners. So we did not start off on the right foot. We should have unloaded our luggage at the front door, but we made a mistake. We wanted to get out of the driveway before we got stuck. Headed to the parking garage. We wheeled our luggage out of the garage. Not really a good way of doing this. So you have to fight the arms to get yourself and your luggage around them. Then walk half a block and fight with doors that are heavy, and should be ADA compliant in this day and age, but they are not. Onto the room. Where we find a floor that felt like there was a perpetual wet spot on the carpet, and a couch situated inconveniently in front of the windows (I like to open the black out curtains in the morning and close them at night.) We also have a bathroom with no exhaust fan, and peeling pain on the ceiling, plus the world's slickest tile. Forget about standing in place while brushing your teeth, the floor would like you to do the splits! Be careful walking into the bathroom, you may just fall on your butt from looking at the tile. It made getting out of the shower terrifying. Otherwise, excellently located for the convention center and restaurants. Bed was comfy, room was warm, but all hotels run hot. Would stay again if going to convention center, but can't think of another reason to.

We stayed for a long weekend and attended a MLB game in St Louis. The hotel experience was nice, but make sure to check your hotel invoice after you leave! They added an extra charge on our receipt for a meal at the hotel restaurant Zenia, which we never attended. We kept calling, they told us to dispute our credit card company and eventually started dodging our calls. Finally my husband got through to the Accounting department and they finally reimbursed us. Overall, felt like we were being scammed and wouldn’t go back.

I liked the hotel as a whole but there security in the later evening hours was lacking. Lots of loitering in the lobby and the valet area. The door was locked for key cards only but people were just holding it open. Seems like the staff was indifferent to the amount of people just roaming around.
