Montecassino Hotel and Event Venue

The motel itself was very aged but they did keep it up very well. The air conditioning in the room did not work properly at all. It worked for about a minute and it would shut itself off and it would stay off till you turned it back on again and so on so it was not. There's no refrigerator in the room so if you wanted to keep something cold or whatever that's not going to be possible. The TV was a Mini TV. Okay very very old and aged the the room itself wasn't bad. It was clean. They have a little dinky little toilet after the one side that anybody who has any kind of disability of any sort whatsoever okay wouldn't be able to use it anyway. Overall I mean it's a nice place. Don't get me wrong but it's not a place that I would bring my family to or I would go to a second time. I would look at something else because of the age of it and so on. It's not exactly up to par with the other motels like the one in Hamilton that I stayed at called The village Inn. That was very, very nice and modern

There suff did not provide breakfast info, parking info, or wifi. When asked they were unpleasant. The room smelled like cigarettes. Keys were metal instead of cards and the carpet in the lobby was dirty

Good place to stay for the money. Clean nice staff. Parking was a issue .

More improvement required on everything in the Hotel

I get the feeling this place is trying to build up some credibility from a shady past. If there is an event going on and everyone needs a place to stay after, seems like it's the right place (one and done). When I arrived, I could not have told you it was a hotel, I had to drive around it a couple times to understand what I was looking at. Lots of space on the main floor but when it's not in use, gates are present, no lights on, no signage on the outside etc. There are some parts of the room that look redone like the bathroom to attract people but the furniture in the suite was in poor condition, wobbly chairs, broken drawers, etc. The hotel layout is problematic from a safety POV, because there is no access control on the main floor. Anyone can walk in and not be spoken to (by anyone who works there) from the main floor to the 4th floor (where I stayed). I feel like the area is not in a bad part of town but I got a vibe that I made a mistake. The hotel seemed like a place when undesirables would lurk or people would show up for a short period of time or might even live there. The walls are thin and I could hear yelling, music and all sorts of stuff coming from every room and echoing into the hall. There is no restaurant on site. I did not spend too much time in my room as this was a work trip but I won't be back. That said, it was the cheapest option in the area, so can't complain if you don't spend the money.

I didnt like the smell of the room. The curtains smelled the worst. Like musty body odor. It really needs to be washed and freshened up. The carpets needs to be deodorized as well.

Awkward entrance and parking for the hotel section. Nice gym but poorwifi in it. Continental breakfast is minimal.
