The Alpine House

The AC is the coldest I've ever felt, which is a good thing. The complimentary breakfast was really tasty and made to order. All the employees we've Interactions have been exceptional. Now for the accommodations. In the bathroom, the hot and cold water are reversed. After the first burn, you'll remember. Blue painter's tape on the smoke detector, see photos, and no housekeeping.

The Alpine House is cute and in a decent location. They have a good amount of parking and their breakfast was really great! That said, our room smelled musty, the AC barely worked, the tv was tiny, and the room was small and dull. The hotel may have been here for a long time, but for the price point you’d expect some updates.

We recently stayed at this property for a week while visiting Jackson. While the town itself was lovely, our experience at the inn left a lot to be desired—mainly because it didn’t match the descriptions and photos on the website. We were originally placed in Room 111, a King room, and it was honestly one of the most depressing rooms we've ever stayed in. It lacked even the basics—like two chairs to sit on. The headboard wasn’t attached to the bed and kept banging against the wall every time we moved, making it difficult to sleep. The room looked nothing like what was advertised online. While I don’t expect perfection, I do expect something reasonably close to what’s promised. Breakfast was another major disappointment. The website describes a chef-prepared meal with options like eggs benedict, house-made French toast, pastries, and fresh granola. What we got was basic scrambled eggs, pancakes, fruit, bread, and boxed granola. No pastries, no muffins, just options on how you want eggs cooked and burned bacon. I had even called before booking to confirm breakfast options, as I don’t eat eggs, and was assured there would be variety. The chef was not accommodating and not particularly friendly either. Thankfully, we were moved to another room for the rest of the week, which was much more comfortable, and also gave us a rebate on breakfast. When I showed the manager the website description, he seemed surprised—it appeared he didn’t even know what was being promised online. One final note: the website (at the time of booking) lists the property as pet-free, but we were woken up several mornings by a barking dog in a neighboring room. While I love dogs and often travel with mine, I booked here expecting a quiet, pet-free environment. In short, the inn has potential, but the disconnect between the online description and the actual experience is too big to ignore. The furniture felt like it was cobbled together from flea markets and yard sales—mismatched, dated, and worn out. If management wants to avoid unhappy guests and bad reviews, they need to update the website and deliver what’s promised.

Elevator only went to second floor of three floor hotel. Complimentary breakfast made to order. Very good.

Great property. Only issue is that there was no one manning the front desk. There was just a note telling us to call a number and someone would come from another hotel to help us. This was at check-in and check-out and all during our stay. There should at least be someone there during these time. But overall, the hotel is great and recommended.

The property was unique, very quaint, had beautiful outdoor area and a wonderful homemade breakfast. It was also convenient y located within walkong distance of the busy town square.Our biggest complaint was that our room was hot and lacked air conditioner, even a ceiling fan would have helped!

when I registered online the price quote was $221, later I was charged $342. I could not find someone to talk to about it. The office never was manned. The vent in the bathroom didn’t work and again nobody around. The breakfast provided was great.
