Diamond Hotel

We had a 1 night stay, for the cost it was fine, the hotel is very tired and in need of a refurbishment. The bed was very comfortable with lovely crisp white sheets. The shower was powerful and hot. Breakfast was of a good standard for the price. Would stay again for a cheap night away as it was close to everything.

The hotel is definitely in need of updating, but our room was clean, comfortable and well-equipped (having a fridge was a bonus). The breakfast buffet was great and the staff in the dining room and reception were very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately the WIFI didn't extend as far as our room, but was available in the lobby. The location was great - right on the seafront and only 5 minutes walk from the tennis at Devonshire Park. Nearby Carlisle Road has shops and takeaways, and it's also not far into the town centre.

Badly in need of re-fit. Breakfast very basic - staff slow to offer tea/coffee. Bedroom doors didn't lock properly. No disabled access to hotel but stair lifts to all floors! I am 5'3" tall and just over 9st but my knees were almost touching the wall when using the loo. Net curtains were ripped and grubby. Overall very poor.

Some parts of hotel are tired and in need of attention. Rooms were clean. Breakfasts are good and staff attentive.

Nice hotel for the price. Needs a little updating, but staff excellent, and position to beach and shops first class. Would recommend.

Good food, attentive staff.

A somewhat fading hotel which has seen grander days (like indeed most of its guests - including ourselves!). However, it ticked most of the main boxes: clean room, comfortable bed, good shower, coffee & tea facilities in room, very good buffet breakfast, good staff. Good location on seafront and reasonably convenient for no. 12 bus service to Brighton. Only real downside was no hotel WiFi in our room (OK in lobby). Would we stay there again at the same attractive price? Absolutely!

- Hotel was closed. We stayed at the sister hotel. Bathroom was not cleaned upon arrival. Hair in bathtub. No toiletpaper. Mattress dirty. + Large room with lateral seaview. Near Eastbourne Pier and bandstand.

The hotel is a bit faded, but the room was large , and the free breakfast had lots of choices , both hoy and cold buffet , tea coffee fruit juices. Bedroom was very well heated .

music from hotel next door from 5pm until 4am every day asked hotel to call police night receptionist said i had to call and then come to reception he informed us the music would be for another 2 nights no one seemed to stop this hotel from blasting a base until 4am repeatedly ??????????? lions hotel shut next day?????????????????????
