"Disgusting, furniture needed to be not cleaned, but burned"

Location was good, price was right bed was comfortable (and bedding clean) facilities were good

When we walked into the first room we were assigned I stopped in my tracks when I saw the sleeper sofa - literally said "Oh HELL no". It looked like something that was sitting in a back room of a frat house, along with, shall we call them "pleasure stains" completely disgusting. Immediately went back to the front desk and requested a new room, Had to explain why, was told that housekeeping would be informed - don't they already know?? Next room, the sofa was not clean, but able to sit on it when we used the bedding as a cover, bed and its sheets were clean. Following morning talked with new person at front desk, who assured me that once the remodel was complete (started at the end of the month) everything would be new and clean, but you are charging people to stay in rooms now, that I'm sure Marriott would be appalled at having their name attached too...
